I have been looking for a decent face wipe for a while now, I have tried all sorts of wipes at different prices and I could not seem to find anything to suit either me or my skin, until I came across Olay's daily facial wipes at my local boots store.

I love using face wipes, as they are so easy and quick to use. All you do is pull one little wipe out of the pack, wipe your face thoroughly and your done. These are ideal for people on the go, I use them after I have used a sun bed.

The only thing that truly bugs me about them is when you near the bottom of the way through the pack and they start to dry out.

Where as the Olay Daily Facial wipes come in a box, the wipes are dry already and you damp them before you use them. This was the main reason I bought them I hate to waste things and these would last forever providing I didn't wet them.

These wipe lather up really well. Once they have been wet. So all you need is to wipe your face and trust me you feel like you have just stepped out of the shower.

So all the boxes were ticked and I was completely happy with my new buy, my skin was improving and this was becoming silky smooth, what more could a girl want.

SKIN TYPES

When buying the Olay cleansing wipes, you will need to determine your skin type as there is three different wipes available, so buying the correct one for your skin is essential.

The first type are Hydrating facial cloths for Normal to Dry skin, these are best used on very dry, dry cracked or normal skin. They help by adding moisture into your skin and hydrating it, within a week you will notice you skin is becoming softer and smoother.

The second type are Clarifying facial cloths for Oily/Combination skin, if you suffer from greasy or spotty skin these wipes will unblock the pores, and remove any of the day to day grime that builds up. The wipes will clarify the skin and reduce the grease.

The third being Soothing cloths for Sensitive skin, these are great for those who suffer from allergies or have reactions from certain chemicals contained in certain beauty products. They are a mild wipe that will cleanse the skin without causing a reaction or flare up.

Each of these three cloths has been designed to cater for the needs of each specific skin type. You can tell the difference between the different cloths, as each different wipe is identified by a different colours on the box.

PACKAGING

These handy little wipes come in a solid plastic box with a card outer sleeve, inside the plastic box sits another box and this is where your wipes will live. The box is a really clever design as you can refill the wipes at any time.

The refill packs can also be purchased from boots, and they do cost a little less that buy the whole box again. Each box or refill contains 30 wipes.

Also on the packaging is a detailed instruction on how to use, dispose of and store your new facial wipes. The ingredients are also listed just in case you need to find out what chemicals and substances are contained in the wipes.

As the box is neatly compact you can either carry it in your handbag or store it neatly on the bathroom shelf or dressing table.

THE WIPES

Whichever type of facial wipe you select, they are all designed to cleanse tone, exfoliate, and condition skin in one step to improve your skin, leaving it as healthy as possible. So basically one of these little face wipes can replace your, cleanser, toner, exfoliator and even you moisturiser, it is hard to believe the one tiny wipe can do all of that, well believe it Olay have managed to pull off a miracle.

If that isn't enough Olay have also added a cleansing rinse that lathers up, and removes everyday dirt, grime and makeup. This dual-textured facial cloth deeply cleanses and gently exfoliates to visibly improve your skins clarity.

Olay promise that these wipes are 80% better than your basic cleansing, toning and moisturising regimes.

The facial cloth itself is a rounded rectangle shape and it is a little larger than the face wipes I have previous tried before. These Olay cloths are two wipes stuck together, once of which is very soft and smooth and the other being slightly rougher, the rough side is to exfoliate and remover residue and the soft side is to tone and moisturise.

HOW TO USE THE WIPE

Pull a little wipe for the box and add a small amount of water to it, rub the wipe vigorously until the cloth reacts to the water and foams up.

It is very surprising how much foam you will get, then with the rough side wipe all around your face and neck, if look at the wipe after you have done this you will see tiny bits stuck into the little holes on the rough side, if at this point you don't see bits wipe again because more often than not your skins pores are blocked. When you notice tiny bit on the rough side you know the wipe is doing its job.

After you have cleared your skin with the rough side, you can turn the wipe over and use the smooth side to finish off. This smooth side will moisturise your skin.

If you are removing make-up or water proof mascara these are great, using the softer side wipe off all eye makeup. These will remove every last speck of stubborn mascara without irritating your eyes, like some cleansing wipes can do.

After you have completed the wiping process, you should rinse out the cloth until all the foam has gone, and then re-wipe your face and rinse. After you have rinsed your face throw away the wipe and the jobs done.

I have learned that if you done rinse your face after you have used the wipe, it will become quite tight and feel very sticky, if you don't rinse it properly you will notice I am sure.

Once you have used these wipes and rinsed, your skin will feel silky soft, rejuvenated and deeply cleaned and fresh feeling.

CONCLUSION

As soon I started to use these I knew they were great, my skin instantly felt smoother and softer, even some areas were feeling tighter.

I now use the on a regular basis, after 2 weeks of these wipes my skin retuned to how it used to be, I was blotch, spot, dryness free. My skin condition has improved so much since I started to use them.

I am absolutely amazed by these, they are a true miracle I have since chucked out my collection of wipes, cleanser, toner and moisturisers.

I do use these once a day, I tend to do it before I go to bed, this way I remove all of the days build up of grime and dirt in my pores. I have also been known to use the same cloth twice when I was running low, as they foam that much I feel I am wasting them, so yes I have been known to rip them in half.

PRICES

The Olay brand is known to be a little bit expensive, and yes I would never usually pay so much of a cleansing wipe but these are amazing and worth every penny.

A full box of 30 wipes costs £6.99, which will cost you a little over 23p per wipe, so if you do what I do and half them it will cost under 12p per wipe.

A refill pack of 30 will cost you £5.99. This pack will cost just under 20p per wipe and 10p per half wipe.

As you can see the boxed wipes cost a 1.00 more than the refills, so it is worth holding onto you old box and refilling it.

As I have said these were purchased from boots, and I have seen them in Tesco for the same price. But you may be able to by the cheaper from other shops like home bargains, body care or even Superdrug.
