Deep rooted insecurities about the size of my eyes (probably rooted in something very profound from my childhood!) have led to to spend an absolute fortune on different make up products, trying desperately to make my eyes look bigger and more attractive than the piggy little ones that God unfortunately saw fit to give me. Then I found the mascara I currently use, 'Oil of Olay'. It is without doubt the best that I have tried, it lengthens, seperates and is very easy to apply, with a nicely shaped brush. It is also quite economical, as it lasts for quite a while, though of course, I would never, ever, ever use a mascara more than three months old ;). It is usually priced at around £5.99, or thereabouts, and I would suggest it to anyone who is prepared to spend that amount on mascara. It's better to spend money on a mid price mascara then buy a cheap mascara and find you're eyes are totally invisible I find!
Some additional hints unrelated to product if you want them: apply mascara with a mirror beneath you so that you are looking down at your face. This helps you achieve lashes that are a lot longer though I couldnt possibly tell you why! Always use waterproof mascara, not just to save you embarrasement but because it is much more effective as a mascara, building up your lashes and lengthening them to much more effect. Most people probably already know this, but just incase.

Ok, it's expensive as far as mascaras go. My sister gave me this tube, as she didn't like it (she prefers the "curling" stuff), but I have found it not bad. Not bad at all. If I would purchase it myself is another matter though! ;)
It saves you time when you apply it, because the wand is the tapered type, and the consistency of the liquid is such that it doesn't easily clump messily. After a couple of quick coats you're done! The formula is sensitve, ... ...had a problem there.
Only problem I HAVE found with it is that it seems very easy to get on your eyeLIDS. I have no idea why. Maybe it is the shape of the wand, or because the mascara is thin (in this case that is a good thing over all).
If you do get a mark on your skin it will be impossible to remove once dried, so be careful. It is waterproof, definitely!
Because it is quite thin it is simple to load the brush and your lashes still feel flexy ...

Advantages: No allergic reactions at all Disadvantages: expensive and navy blue has been taken off manufacture.
I've been using Oil of Olay mascara since it first came out and as someone who begins to sneeze with some products, this is marvellous. From the beginning, the range Talking Mascara never caused a sniffle and looked great!
It is easy to apply and has moisturiser in it so your lashes don't feel hard when it's dry. In several colours, it's great value and although it's about £5, it is well worth it.
Using every day, it lasts about 6 weeks and always ... ...it makes me feel better too. I've tried all brands on the market and nothing yet has beaten this for people like me. I wish more manufacturers would take this into account when making their products as not all 'hypo-allergenic' products do what they say. This doesn't claim to do anything but it is really wonderful!
It also doesn't dry out over time as some do which I think is important. ...

Advantages: easy to apply, no clumping, great results, longlasting tube Disadvantages: expensive, limited colours if htat matters to you and u like blue lashes as well as black ones :-)
...how I was introduced to Oil of Olay mascara. She gave me a tube of it, and from that moment on I realised how important it was to invest in your makeup. It never made sense to me before why someone would pay that much money for makeup. But now, having tried such a n expensive product, I have seen the results and know that they are worth paying for!
Oil of Olay is easy to apply to your lashes, and unlike cheaper mascaras, is easy to apply without ... ...attractive black tube with the Oil of Olay logo and Talkative Mascara printed on the side. I would never go out without applying some. This mascara costs £6.99 from Boots but it does last a long time and gives excellent results. I thoroughly recommend it to everyone. Even to my friends, who argue that they can't afford it. I cant afford not to!
Limited range of colours though in comparison to other brands. ...

I bought this mascara from a Body Shop party my friend's mum held. I fely obliged to buy something after all and at the time I didnt even know Oil of Olay made mascara so I was still flitting between brands trying to find the right mascara. I didnt find it with this one. For a start, it was quite expensive for me at the time - about £4 but it may have gone up a bit now. It was attractively packaged in a green tube with the Body Shop logo and its name, ingredients etc. in pretty gold lettering. However, this rapidly rubbed off the tube in the first weeks so it looked a bit shabby. It was a very thick textured mascara and the brush was too bushy to allow me to apply the mascara evenly across each lash so it was hard to apply and I frequently had clumped lashes. Are you one of the people who about four years ago had a little tube pop through your letterbox containing a free sample of the new Oil of Olay foundation and lipstick?
Well I was! Unusually for me, I used the products. I was really pleased with the results and although I had not been a regular user of foundation, I bought some and have used it ever since. It really gave my skin a peachy look and didn?t streak or wear off. The lipstick was the same.
Gradually Oil of Olay bought out a whole range, eye shadow, blusher and mascara. I used them all and was grateful I had found a makeup range that worked for me as I have pretty sensitive skin.
Well, you might ask, why is she writing in a past tense.

then that is the norm for me whatever I use so it wasn’t really a problem. Just slop the Oil of Olay face cream on straight after and I was all peachy smooth again! And they do get rid of mascara so no more waking up looking like a giant panda!
To conclude:
In my opinion they are a little too dear for everyday use. It is much cheaper to use the foaming facial wash, again by Olay on a daily basis. I would use these wipes after a night out when I really couldn’t be bothered (or couldn’t focus, ahem!!) to wash off the remains of a great night out. And as I seem to be having less and less of these as I get older..altogether now, aarrrrr! I can see that these are going to last me quite a while. So maybe they are not going to work out all that expensive to me after all.?!!
I have to go now and put my thinking cap ...
