Disadvantages It gave me blotch's of excema all over my arms

I bought this product because I was using an Oil Of Olay facial cleanser at the time so I trusted the brand, also due to the extensive marketing campaign the body wash was getting at the time.

The product costs £4.99 for 400ml at Boots, I'm assuming that's a pretty universal price for the product in the UK. It's a shower gel, but rather than being a translucent bright colour, like many shower gels, it looks like an ivory coloured creme bath. It smells nice, but unusual, not refreshing like many shower gels.

In the past I have had really bad (VERY noticeable and extremely sore and itchy) blotches of excema all over my arms (nowhere else for some reason), and this started to return. It got really severe and I tried many cremes and moisturisers to get rid of it, to no avail. My skin is pale and these large patches of bright red dry skin all over my arms looked terrible, I always wore long sleeved tops and was very conscious of it, not least because it itched so much!

I didn't link the Oil Of Olay Body Wash and the excema as I used different shower gels when I stayed at my boyfriends, which was frequently.

However, the Oil Of Olay Body Wash ran out and I bought lots of Dove Body Wash (because it was on special offer). The excema soon clear up, yet I still didn't link it to the Oily Of Olay Body Wash.

When I went back to using the Oily Of Olay Body Wash the excema came back and it was then I linked the two. Since I stopped using the product I haven't had any excema, and that's nearly a year ago now :)

I'm not saying this product will give you problems, lots of people use it and very few seem to have problems. I was obviously allergic to it, which is unusual as I don't have sensitive skin and have not had a reaction to any other product I have used over the years. So I suggest that if you do start using this product, keep an eye out in case your skin starts getting irritated.

Doesn't sound too good! Surprised Dove worked for you as it gave me a rash (I have pale complexion, semi-sensitive). I'll steer clear of this one too!
