As a woman, I feel it is my god-given duty to try every hair and beauty product the market place has to offer… it is the least I can do.
With many things, I have found products that I love, smell nice, are excellent value for money, and if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it.
I was an Oil of Olay Bodywash virgin until a month ago, when I found that Superdrug was offering BOGOF on 400ml bottles…. So I thought I’d try it. I believe usual price is roughly £4.20
I do need to be relatively picky with my body products as my skin is very dry. Before this bodywash, I would use A N Other shower gel, and then sparingly apply a layer of baby oil whilst still wet out of the shower. This would help prevent snake skin once I’d properly dried!
The bodywash is packaged much like Head & Shoulders – the slim, rectangular plastic casing with a flip top lid. The accent colour for this is Pink, and the label is unfussy. (It will be even less fussy when they stop marketing that Oil of Ulay is now Oil of Olay).
The packaging also promises 80+ washes with an Olay puff. (I have found that any decent puff will do!)
The texture is a wonderfully thick crème, that looks like an expensive body moisturiser, which sets your expectations high. The smell is fantastic – a delicately clean, lightly perfumed smell.
You need only a small amount on your puff – say a blob the size of a 10p piece should do it, and boy, does it lather. Though I haven’t counted, I am very comfortable with their promise of 80+ washes.
Washing with it, the foam feels soft and refreshing. It also rinses off extremely well, leaving no residue that some of these body crèmes can do.
Once you’re out the shower, your skin will feel almost luxurious – clean, refreshed and soft. There is no need for further nourishment (unless you have unbelievably dry skin or a skin problem, in which case you should test a small amount before you use it anyway). Besides, adding a different moisturiser would only clash with the delicate smell left on your skin anyway!
The feeling is lasting as well.
I would recommend this to anyone. Even my husband loves it. I must admit that the price had put me off before, though I wouldn’t let it sway me now…

I was using this before I switched to Original's tea tree & mint. It was a toss up between the creamy feel and the refreshing cooling feel. The price finally determined it and Original won!:)

I've used this before but didn't think it was that good! x
Advantages: you feel sexy after a shower without having to slap on moisturisers that may compromise this feeling. Disadvantages: none but those on your wallet.
