I have put this opinion in this catagory as it has "totally effected" me!
Are you one of the people who about four years ago had a little tube pop through your letterbox containing a free sample of the new Oil of Olay foundation and lipstick?
Well I was! Unusually for me, I used the products. I was really pleased with the results and although I had not been a regular user of foundation, I bought some and have used it ever since. It really gave my skin a peachy look and didn’t streak or wear off. The lipstick was the same.
Gradually Oil of Olay bought out a whole range, eye shadow, blusher and mascara. I used them all and was grateful I had found a makeup range that worked for me as I have pretty sensitive skin.
Well, you might ask, why is she writing in a past tense.
About three weeks ago, I needed a new foundation. My Safeway supermarket sold it, so on my next shopping trip I went to the stand to get one.
There was 50% off the whole range, the stand looked like it had been savaged and there was hardly anything left! (Understandable, as almost all my mates use this too). I asked when the next delivery was coming in and to my horror; I was told that there wouldn’t be another delivery as Oil of Olay had discontinued the whole make-up range. Apparently, they are going to concentrate on skin care.
On my next visit into town, I visited every shop I could think of to stock up but the stands were the same in every shop, empty! Obviously, everyone had heard before me!In desperation, I visited their web site to get some information.
There was nothing on the site regarding the withdrawal of the range and to add insult to injury, you could still fill out a questionnaire to find the makeup products most suited to you.
I can’t understand why they would discontinue this range to concentrate on skin care, as it was very popular.
So if you use these products, you’d better grab them if you can!
