I have never been one for slapping makeup or facial creams and lotions on my face and at 42 I have often been told I look more like I'm in my late 30's. However there does come a time in a girls life when she starts to think maybe a little help for the skin wouldn't go amiss. I have now started to use Oil of Olay Total Effects Body Lotion. After finding that my skin has altered over the years, when I was younger I used to have oily skin and never needed moisturisers but time is sometimes a bit cruel and parts of my facial skin has dried out, leaving me with comblination skin and dry patchs.
Whilst in the Bodycare shop in town I was browsing around the cosmetic shelves and came across this Oil of Olay. It comes in a black packet and the white plastic bottle is the familiar Oil of Olay design. The price however was 12.99. I know that the Bodycare shops sell products a lot cheaper than other shops so the normal price of this is probably a lot higher. It's still a lot for me to pay but needing a good skin moisturiser and tonic, I thought I was worth it.
The pump action of the bottle dispenses a little amount of white lotion into your palm, I think that two drops is enough for your face. Used sparingly it should last quite a while.I first applied the lotion to the area's of skin which really needed it, the dry patches seemed to soak it up instantly. Leaving my skin feeling a lot smoother. This didn't leave it feeling greasy either, it was like my skin drank it in. I applied it all over my face and have been using it every morning and night before bed time for three weeks now.
I can honestly say there has been a definate improvement on the condition of my skin, there is more smoothness to it and it feels more supple. I can't say if it reduces the effects of wrinkles as I haven't got any yet, so I'm lucky so far. Maybe if I use this for long enough I won't get them. LOL Although the price is a bit steep for my budget, I'd probably fork out the money again as I'm impressed with the improved condition of my skin.
