I have used the original oil of olay for years, it is one of those things that i have never bothered to change. It suited my skin and was a decent price. I was running low and asked my sister to pick me up some more, seeing as she works in Boots. She turned up with this one, i pointed out to her ( very nicely!) that this was not the one i asked for and was also about 4 times the price. To which she said that she thought she would treat me ( she's up to something!) Then i noticed it was an anti-ageing moisturiser ( cheeky cow! ). I very politely pointed out that she is only 4 years younger than me and if she keeps reminding me about this she will need more than an anti-ageing product! So just to spite her i gave this a go.
HISTORY ---------------
Olay was created by a chemist called Graham Wulff in the 1950's. Back then women used thick and greasy creams that came in tins that looked like the old style shoe polish. He used his wife as his guinea pig ( good job they were happy! ) And he also did a lot of research by talking and listening to women ( yes, listening ). He found out that the majority of women wanted young and beautiful skin. Using this he came up with the original oil of olay beauty fluid, which was lighter, absorbed well and also had a light fragrance. This was introduced to the world in 1959 and was an overnight success. In 1985 Procter and Gamble bought the company and now owned the olay name. In 200 they decided to shorten the name to just Olay to make the brand seem more up to date.
DEFINITY --------------
Ok this product is supposed to be a new breakthrough for moisturisers. It states that it penetrates deep , up to 10 layers of the skin to fight past damage and discolouration, wrinkles and lines within 8 weeks. It also claims that 76% of UK women that trialed the product would recommend to a friend. The product line is that it redefines anti-ageing to reveal luminous skin.
INGREDIENTS ------------------------
This contains Glucosamine complex which everyone knows about!! yeah right, The complex is made up of 2 ingredients, The first N-acetyl glucosamine which is supposed to block the ability to produce the menolin with in your skin that causes brown spots. The second is Niacinamide, which is more commonly known as vitamin B3. ( I prefer the common name!) This is supposed to promote exfoliation and give a moisture barrier. It is also said to hydrate and reduce red and blotchy patches.
The active ingredients are Octisalate, Avobenzone, Ensulizole and Octocrylene. This particular one contains SPF 15.
If you are still awake that's the end of the long names!
PACKAGING ------------------
The packaging looks a bit different to the original olay. It comes in a box that has the olay definity name on it. Also some coloured triangles. The name of the paticular product and it's contents. The box is mainly white with a black top. Inside the box you find a moulded plastic tub with your magic formula. The tub is white and the top is a soft pink, the actual tub looks quite nice and up market. It seems they are trying to make the olay brand stand out more and compete with the more expensive brands.
USING ------------
The cream is really nice, it is not too thick but also it's not as thin as the original olay. It is white in colour and has a very slight fragrance which is pleasant. A little of this goes a long way, which is good seeing how much it costs! It spreads and absorbs very well, And doesn't leave you skin feeling greasy. I use mine at night after my bath and my skin still feels soft the next morning and for most of the day. Which i must say i was impressed with especially this time of year. I have noticed a slight change in my skin, it really does feel softer and the lines around my eyes have started to fade a bit. I didn't have any red blotchy bits before ( no, honestly ) so i can't really comment on the effectiveness of this.
PRICE & OTHER PRODUCTS -----------------------------------------

If you shop around you can pick them up a bit cheaper but i haven't seen them much cheaper. Olay do recommend that for best results to use these products together. Well they would at those prices! I haven't used the others ( for obvious reasons ) and to be honest i can't see the point. You can get samples from the olay website.
I really wanted to hate this product due to the cheeky way it was given to me but i am going to have to swallow my pride and admit i like it. But i am not sure i can justify spending that amount of money on a small pot of moisturiser. Mind you the other half could do with missing a meal or 2. Also if i start to look to youthfull and line free the other half will think i've given up work!
Advantages: Latest product from Olay Disadvantages: Everything, leaves skin shiny and sticky.
...always been a lover of Olay products, and when I saw the advert for this new 'wonder' cream I thought I would give it a go.
Although this product is over £20.00, judging by the advert it was supposed to give your skin a luminous effect.
I was not at all impressed by this product, a definate let down by Olay. Granted the impressive packaging looks really fancy, and you would expect a cream that costs over the £20.00 mark to work wonders, but in ... ...the cheaper Olay creams on the market.
The cream itself is a mousse, which is quite different, and on application it glided on easily, but I found that the mousse did not absorb very well into my skin and left my skin feeling sticky and somewhat shiny.
I wont waste the product, as it cost a bomb, but after an hour the mousse still had not absorbed into my skin, even when I minimized the application of the mousse it still made my skin look as if ...

...I have tryed lots of olay products but i can honestly say i had instant results, i was so amazed, it reduced my tiny red lines after two applications, hand on my heart it really did, i woke up after 2 days i thought oh my god it really does work.
It glides on evenly and feels light not heavy and it does not look like you have oily skin like some do.
It reduces dark patches and reduces dark spots that you acquire over the years
It gives back some ... ...to lose some of this. Olay allows your skin to be able to do this again and glow.
Hemoglobin and Uneven Tone:- Hemoglobin and bloodcells that flow through the skin through blood vessels also get damaged and sometimes they break creating red fine lines, olay reduces these lines, like i said they really do . Put it to the test yourself you will be surprised.
Last of all olay plumps up your skin to give you an over over even tone
Definatly worth ...

Advantages: Lovely smell super-soft skin with enhanced texture. Disadvantages: No SPF
Fantastic product. The packaging is lovely, the pump dispenser avoids germs getting into cream as it can with jars.
The cream has a lovely texture and a fabulous smell. My skin was instantly baby soft after the first use. The texture of my skin improved after a few weeks of use, less noticeable lines, uneven tones and pores. It provides a great base for make-up too. I would recommend to anybody looking to improve the look/texture of teir skin.

The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't offer any SPF, meaning extra products need to be used, but all in all I would recommend I'm very impressed. ...

Advantages: Excellent results, lovely feel Disadvantages: Price! It's cheaper on Ebay from the US, including shipping!
I lvoe this foamy creamy moisturiser, it's cleared my skin up and it's lovely and glowing. People are commenting. It comes in a dispenser like hari mousse, and you shake it and press a button release the faom. Warning! A little goes a long way and press very gently as lots will come out. the foam melts into your skin and makes it feel lovely and smooth. My only concern is the price and the amount given to you. I bought mine after Christmas 2006 in ... ...which isn't good enough. For £25, I expected this to last. I've also found that you can buy this from the US, and including P and P, it's a cheaper buy than in the UK (I bought two bottles for £20 inc P&P). No doubt this is due to the exchange rate, but still, you'd think that they'd make this more affordable. It's not Chanel or Lancome, which command a high price because they're premium products. ...

Advantages: Skin Feels Like Silk. Disadvantages: Nothing I can think of.
I have tried the other body wash by Oil of Olay but they have excelled themselves with this product, this renewal body wash is a lot different to the other one which is currently on the market, and your skin feels ten times smoother when compared with their sister body wash. My bath would not be complete without my Oil of Olay Renewal Body Wash, my skin feels silky smooth, soft and lightly fragranced, and is a brilliant alternative to washing with soap which tends to be too harsh for my skin, Oil of Olaydefinately make products that are of the highest quality and you can guarantee that they are improving their products everytime a new product is launched. ...
Advantages: good moisturiser, Does work Disadvantages: Price
Ok, I have a confession to make, When i wrote my Olaydefinity review i really was pleased with it BUT when it finished i could not justify spending £24 on a moisturiser. It's January and the christmas bills will be in soon and the guilt would eat me up ( Arn't i the dramatic one! ). So i went back to using Olay beauty fluid but i soon realized that it just wasn't the same for me anymore so i looked around for another one. I read a bit about this one and decided to give it a go!

for treatment and prevention of spots was tea tree. Although tea tree is supposed to be the best thing for spots and my spots definately went away I found that my skin had once again become dry.
I was getting into this vicious circle of using spot cream which made my skin dry then using moisturisers which started the spots off again.
I decided to go to the doctors who gave me a emollient cream, this did not work because it was just too greasy.
One day in the middle of a dry skin phase I was watching television and saw a advert for Oil of Olay. The advert made me think that it wasn't just for the over 40's so the next day I popped down to my local chemist and bought myself some Oil of Olay moisturising fluid.
I have been using Oil of Olay for the last six months and it has solved my problems with spots and dry skin. I think that Oil of Olay ...
