I recently used up the last of my facial wash product I was using (Biore warming Blackhead Cleanser - see my reviews for rating etc *shameless plug*) and even though I had been really impressed I had been reading great things about this new product on the market on a website and when I spotted it on half price at Boots well it would have been rude to have said no really wouldn't it.

Coming from the makers of Oil of Ulay the original beauty fluid which rebranded itself as 'Olay' a couple of years ago the range now has loads of products rather than just the age old beauty fluid that was it's staple back in the old days. They do eye products, facial wipes, facial washes, night creams, days creams you name it they probably do it.
A full range of their products can be found on their website
www.olay.co.uk
This is part of their regenerist range aimed at skin which is slightly older and trying to help reduce the effects of aging on the skin. The wesbite says about this product
"Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher regenerates skin's appearance for a beautifully polished texture and renewed vibrancy. You can achieve the look of a mini peel with regular use. It is a self-heating exfoliating treatment that can be used every day as part of your skincare routine. The secret of this wonderful experience is a water-activated self-heating formula that deeply warms skin to enable effective cleansing down to the pores. Gentle enough for everyday use."
I think this could be used by someone of any age whether they are concerned about their skin looking older or not.
The tube which is black and metallic pink with the Olay logo and then on the back information about the product and how to use it. It says it can be used mornings or evenings and is suitable for dry, normal, oily and combination skins. The product is dispensed at the end of the tube which has a flip top cap which is to be closed after use.
When you first use the product you will notice it is a creamy lilac colour which is quite suprising as you would assume it would be white. It has a very pleasant smell to it Im not sure how to describe it, not floral but not chemical it just smells very fresh and light to me.
I usually slightly dampen my face and then dispense a small amount of this into the palm of my hand and then just rub my palms together to work it up a bit and make easier to apply. I then put onto my skin using my fingertips in small circular motions to get into all the nooks and crannys (especially round the sides of my nose etc).
You will feel the polisher warm up slightly, not too much just enough so you can feel it really working. I do like these products that warm up as I think they open up my pores making the product more likely to get deep down into my skin and work on all the dirt and grime that is imbedded into it.
Some skin polishers and exfoliators are far too rough and can feel quite 'scratchy' on the skin but this is different. Even though you can feel the very tiny granules in this creamy fluid when you are actually applying it they don't scratch on the skin or feel too rough or uncomfortable, however they still do a great job at getting rid of dry and rough skin and leaving your face feeling exfoliated and smoother.
This product can be purchased at most leading stores - Boots, Superdrug, Savers, Bodycare and at Larger Supermarkets stocking the Olay range of products. Priced at approximately £7.50 for 125ml this is quite an expensive product but Olay items are usually on offer somewhere so keep your eyes open for bargains. As I say I got this from Boots for half price at £3.75.
Is this suitable for you? My skin ranges from dry to combination and I suffer with occasional spots and pimples. My skin tone is pretty poor and I need to exfoliate regularly as my pores have a tendency to get blocked causing blackheads. I have found this has really helped with my skin. It has made it look a lot smoother and has given it a fresher look.
I would recommend using this in the evenings to get skin really ready for using night cream etc and then use your usual method of cleansing in the morning whether that be soap, facial wash, cream cleanser or whatever. I think this may be too harsh to use morning and evening.
I would give this product 4 stars out of 5. The only thing that does let it down is the price, however on saying that you only need to use a pearl sized amount each time so the tube would probably last for ages! And this could take the place of having to use a seperate exfoliator which in turn would save money as well.
For once I agree with the hype on the internet about this and am really pleased I have tried it.

Review of Olay Regenerist Cleanser Daily thermal Skin Polisher
Advantages: smooth your skin with heating treatment Disadvantages: a bit expensive, difficult to squeeze out
Almost finish this tube of Olay Regenerist Cleanser Daily Thermal Skin Polisher, I thought it's time to write a review about it. I bought this product in Boots a few months ago, which cost me about 7.00p for 125 ml. And it's still available in Boots store. This is one of the products from Olay regenerist series that regenerate skin appearance. You can find more information of Olay Regenerist on its web site: http://www.olay.com/boutique/regenerist/. ... ...products from Olay. From my personal experience, it's better to get to know the products even do some research before buying them. And the web is one of the good resources to get that.
The product is light purple color and also has light smell, which are fine for me. The most important character of this product is self-heating, which's clearly mentioned in the name as "thermal". For my opinion, heat treatment is a good way to deep clean skins and ...

Advantages: Pretty packaging, smells nice Disadvantages: Not suitable for sensitive skin, polishing crystals are quite large and harsh
...why I went and bought Olay Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher AKA SP. Mine came from Superdrug where it retails for £7.49 for 125ml. Boots is slightly more expensice @ £7.50 for 125ml.
The packaging.
SP comes in a pretty fat tube, sort of a combination of foil and plastic that looks very nice and futuristic, if I may say so. It's black with pink and purple shade all over and it looks like a treat.

Well, this sounded very good and was exactly was I was looking for, I thought. I also expected it to ...

Advantages: Does what it says on the tin. Disadvantages: Can't think of much really!
...3 for 2 on all Olay face products, so not as expensive as I first thought. Upon using this product I am really impressed, you are advised to use it morning OR evening and only a pearl sized amount, so your money goes a long way. The scent is nice and quite fruity, and although the heating effect on your skin is quite surprising at first, your skin is left feeling fresh (despite the fact that this is a cream cleanser) as well as moisturised. Over ... ...more even in tone. As I've never had a mini peel, I can't compare the results to that which is what the product claims the results are, but I am happy with the results I have achieved. I feel that the vast majority of people wash their face, and this product teemed with a regular, inexpensive foaming face wash is a winning combination, and one which doesn't cost the earth. I will keep using this product, not least because of its value for money but ...
