Advantages Clears the most stubborn blockages, Natural ingredients, Pleasant smell

Disadvantages Is a bit Costly but as I say worth every penny

Oh well, after just reading and commenting on a opinion by “YB69” about “Olbas oil”, a thought came to me, why not write my own opinion on the stuff, as I have used it enough times, so here goes FOLKS.

Many, many moons ago (well not that many, actually), whilst I was a innocent little child (yes I used to be, not that you’d ever believe me LOL), I used to suffer from very severe nose blockages and catarrh (still do actually, but not as much), I used to try everything, including those horrible “Vicks vapour sticks” that you used to have to shove up your nose and also “Vicks Vapour rub” to which you’d put a bit on a hanky and give a good sniff and I also actually used to rub the stuff on the bridge of my nose (DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED), and the results where, lack of sight and streams of tears, due to the vapours going into my eyes (I know I done wrong, but HEY! I was only a KID). This worked OK, it cleared my nose, but the blockage would be back in a couple of minutes, as well as my sight, fortunately.

Then one day, my mum came home with this little green box (very appropriate colour LOL) with the words OLBAS OIL (Although, I spent most of my childhood calling it OLLYBUS OIL for some strange reason), my mum said the chemist has recommended her it, as it was new out, so I read the instructions and gave it a go (as I was at the time suffering once again SNIFF SNIFF), just a couple of drops on a tissue and a sniff or two later, I was cured, my blocked nose had instantly been cleared, HOORAY, I could actually breathe through my nose again, this stuff was a miracle, I promptly took the bottle to bed, and sprinkled another couple of drops on my pillow, which helped my breathing during the night-time. When I woke up, there was no sign of my stuffy nose, as a matter of fact, my nose was as clear as ever.

As the years have passed, I have sworn by this stuff, it really is excellent for clearing your blocked noses and catarrh, and I will get the bottle out whenever it is needed, it is very strong, but not in the same way as “Vicks Vapour rub” is, in other words, it doesn’t have vapours that temporally blind you, it just concentrates on the important thing, clearing your nostrils out. It is also my belief that “Olbas Oil” can actually work as an aid, to help relieve muscular and rheumatic pains, whether this is effective, I don’t really know. It is also 100% natural ingredients, which is surely a benefit to the world.

Active Ingredients:

Cajuput Oil
Clove Oil
Eucalyptus Oil
Juniper Berry Oil
Menthol
Dementholised Mint
Wintergreen Oil

Usage:

Adults and Children over 2 years of age: Put 2 or 3 drop of the oil on a tissue, place over the nostrils and sniff up or at bedtime, sprinkle 2 or 3 drops onto the pillow.

Children aged 2 months to 2 years of age: 1 drop placed on a tissue, but don’t allow the child to hold it, place the tissue by the child nostril yourself.

Price: A 28ml bottle will cost you about £3.00 to £3.50 (quite costly, but worth every penny) depending on where you buy it, it is available in most Chemists and Supermarkets (I think).

Good op. I, like probably lots of others, have seen the product on the shelves, but not actually ever bought it. Now that I have read your op, I might just be persuaded to go out and buy it next time I need un-bunging! Cheers for the info :-)Xyanthe
