The packaging is well know with its red and white box and its dosnt sting as much as aftershave with heavy scent.

...am of course referring is Old Spice, the Classic Aftershave that apparently is only worn by Old men, well Stand up DON because you most definitely qualify. I can see where this ageist thing comes from but I can't believe why. Perhaps it is the fact that the bottle this delicate fragrance comes in does look like it might have been discovered on a pirate ship, and in fact the ship in question might even be the one on the front of the bottle. The bottle ... ...less.
The smell of Old Spice is quite unique and I cannot say that I have ever smelt anything even remotely similar. It has a soft slightly spicy odour which is not very strong but does last a good long time. It has an exotic aroma which gives the impression it comes from far away, this might be another indication that it is indeed of pirate origin. ...it was back to the Old Spice experience. Oh boy!
Compared to newer aftershaves, Old Spice bottles way a ton, being made of something which seems similar to a cup rather than glass. This gives it an almost mysterious appearence and the red top just about caps it all (no pun intended). Opening the bottle, I did not cautiously sniff the top to see whether I liked the smell or not, after all, it was this or nothing. Instead, I just sprayed the stuff ... ...It's not musty or old in itself, it's just that there is an overwhelming feeling of age whenever you sniff the Old Spice aroma. It's a shame really, as the smell itself is quite nice, being slightly sweet and uplifting, but the ability to quickly muster feelings of old people is more than a bit of a turn off.
My conclusion is that Old Spice is fine if you are over 60. I have since bought my dad some new aftershave and have always remembered to bring ...

The scent of Old Spice is familiar in such places as football terraces (div one and lower), barber shops, and bathrooms of the over 60s. It's a reliable fragrance; while some come and go, it remains, reliable and simple as ever.
They tried recently to revamp their image by releasing a new fragrance - 'cool water' or something, that was essentially the same, but in a different coloured bottle. They gave some samples away in mens' magazines and stuff, ... ...it in the last few months. Their market is in middle aged to old men who don't want to be flashy, but also don't want to smell, and may it always be that way. I hope that when I reach that age, I turn to Old Spice. ...
