The Olivetti tradition of excellence in design and quality originates from the corporate culture and management style established by Adriano Olivetti, who pursued design and quality excellence in all products made by his company. The company continues this good tradition and provides its customers with high-class solutions in printer area delivering printer consumables and supplies of excellent quality to the modern market.
...I bought this Olivetti printer because I found at a very good price on an internet auction (not second hand though, printer arrived packed and unused). The quality of printing is very satisfactory (I think it is better than the Epson 440 I owned before). This printer comes with a black print head and it can optionally take colour and even photo cartridge (you have to change the cartridge depending on what you want to print every time). The good thing with the cartridges is that they are quite cheap (around £4 to £5 each the black ones) and they are the same with those for other Olivetti printers and even fax machines. However, the 'page' life of each cartridge is rather limited (I estimate it at around 100-150 pages)and they are not so easy to find as those for other printers. Advantages: Print quality, ease of use Disadvantages: Too expensive
.... This strip keeps the cartridge from leaking in transit and also from drying out. I do have a word of warning about these cartridges. Once this plastic strip is removed you must put the cartridge straight into the printer, if you leave it lying around for a couple of days it will dry out and be completely useless!
The cartridge fits into the printer quite easily, once you know what you are doing. These cartridges should slot into the appropriate holder inside the printer, making sure the cartridge is placed the correct way in, with the ink side facing downwards!
I can’t say that I have any particular problems with the reliability or life span of these printcartridges. They seem to last for a decent amount of time, providing you are not printing entire pages in blank ink or something like that! I have heard that sometimes these cartridges...

Advantages: You need one to be able to print Disadvantages: THE COST
...I recently purchased a lexmark printer/Copier/scanner for the bargain price of £49.99 (or so I thought).
For a start the cartridges ran out within seven days - nothing new there I hear you say, the only problem is I hardly used the printer in this time and certainly didn't print off reams and reams of rainbows.
So the time came to purchase a new cartridge - to be fair even the fella in the shop was amazed that I was back so soon. Then came the shock part of this tale - the price, £21.99 for a new cartridge, no that's not a typing error it really was TWENTY ONE POUNDS NINETY NINE. I nearly had a heart-attack I can tell you.
That's when it was explained to me, the reason the printer was so cheap in the first place was the cartidges are only a quarter full - not even half. Now comes the rant - how the hell can Lexmark justify...
