I HAVE BEEN USING MY OLLIVETTI JP 192 PRINTER FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS NOW AND I FIND IT AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF HARDWARE TO USE.
THERE ARE MANY PRINTERS IN THE JP RANGE...SOME OLDER SOME NEWER..BUT FOR THIS OPINION -ALTHOUGH I HAVE USED SEVERAL IN THE RANGE- I WILL CONFINE MY SELF TO THE 192.

THIS PRINTER..AVAILABLE FOR AS LITTLE AS 60.00 HAS EXCELLENT OUTPUT.
ALTHOUGH NOT A PHOTO QUALITY PRINTER.. THIS PRINTER WOULD BE IDEAL FOR THE STARTER OR HOBBYIST.
OUT PUT IS AT 600/300 DPI -DOTS PER INCH- AND THE OPPERATION IS VERY QUIET.
INSTALLATION IS AS SIMPLE AS RUNNING AN AUTO-RUN FACILITY ON A 3.5" FLOPPY DISK...AND TAKES ABOUT TWO MINUTES. THERE ARE NO SEPERATE DRIVER TO LOAD...YOU CAN EVEN USE THE WINDOWS STANDARD DRIVERS IF YOU WISH.
I MANILY USE MINE FOR LETTER OUTPUT AND FOR THE OCCASIONAL ILLUSTRATION OR TWO. ONE NICE THING ABOUT THIS PRINTER IS THAT IT DOES'NT TAKE-UP MUCH SPACE ON THE COMPUTER TABLE...UNLIKE SOME OF THE COMPUTERS THAT HAVE THE SAME OUT-PUT FACILITIES..AND THE PAPER IS AUTO-FED IN VERTICALLY.
ALTHOUGH THIS PRINTER HAS BEEN SUPERCEEDED..IT CAN BE OBTAINED FROM 'MORGAN' COMPUTING..THEIR NUMBER IS IN THE BOOK AND COMES WITH ALL LEADS,INSTRUCTIONS AND COLOUR PRINTER HEAD. THIS PRINTER IS A MUST FOR THOSE ON A SMALL BUDGET!
