Advantages: Optical quality and build excellent Disadvantages: Being very fussy no neck strap on case
I bought these binoculars as I was looking for a new pair of good quality bin,s for birdwatching on a budget.Having searched a long time for a pair of roof prism's at around £100 + for a half decent pair, I was amazed by the quality and of the optics and the price of these porro prism bins. The sharpness, brightness & colour rendition is superb, a real testament to the optical quality. I can't imagine how I managed to live with my previous bin's for so long.
The feel of these bin's is solid and well built, being very comfortable in the hand, if a little on the heavy side. They come with a comfortable neck strap and a soft case, although the case annoyingly doesn't have a neck strap. The body is fully rubber armorred & although not stated as being waterproof, I have found them to be very durable when out in the field.

This is because for the range of features you are getting a good deal and also because Olympus provide a 25 year guarantee with all their ...

This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need.
