It is very easy to use, is small enough to fit into a pocket (108mm(w) x 57.5mm(H) x 36.5mm(D)and is very lightweight 165g (without batteries or memory card), yet despite its small size it takes excellent pictures.
If anything it is better than my last camera.

I have been using a digital camera for about 3 years now and was very happy with the one I had but it was stolen in a recent break-in at my home.

If anything it is better than my last camera.
According to the manual which comes with the camera the specifications include: Digital recording,JPEG Memory, xD picture card (16-512MB) Pixels= 3,200,000 or 3.2 Mega pixels Digital ESP metering, spot metering shutter speed 1 to 1,000 sec shooting range 5cm(1.6ft) to infinity in normal mode or 20cm to 50cm(0.7 to 1.6ft) in macro mode 1.8" TFT colour LCD display Connectors: DC in, USB (mini-B), A/V out(mono) Power supply: 1 CR-3V battery pack or 2 AA(R6) alkaline batteries or NiMH batteries. or optional AC adapter. A 16 MB memory card can store the following number of pictures: SHQ = 6 pics HQ = 20 pics SQ1 = 32 pics SQ2 = 165 pics
I have tried the camera at all settings and have found the quality to be very acceptable. There is even a panoramic function where you can take several pics and with the supplied software join all of them together to make one bigger picture, (ideal for landscapes).
The big advantage of digital over conventional 35mm cameras is that there are no films to buy and so no processing charges, you can see the picture right away (on the LCD screen) and if you dont like it you can take another one, a big advantage (especially with holiday photos which cant be readily replaced after you return home) as with 35mm you probably wont know for several days that the picture was not to your liking and by that time it could well be too late to take another.
When it comes to printing your pictures you choose the size of print and the quality of print, and you choose which ones to print.
You will need a PC and a reasonable printer but I think most people who buy a digital camera will already have these anyway, the only other expense will be ink cartridges and photo paper suitable for your printer. I have printed several pics from this camera and I have no complaints, I would go so far as to say the quality is comparable with 35mm prints from a photo shop.
I would reccomend getting at least one additional memory card as it is very easy to get carried away taking pics and you can soon fill a card. Another essential I think are spare batteries as digital cameras do seem to get through them very quickly. Mains adapters and recharchable batteries are available but I havent bought any yet, but I think they will be next on my list.
The zoom function works well, approx 10x,and is approx = to35mm-105mmon a 35mm camera. I bought this camera for £149.99 at Argos, the camera came with an instruction manual, camedia master software, batteries and a 16 MB memory card, and at the time Argos had on offer of a camera case, a book on taking digital photos and a 64 MB memory card free.
The supplied software is very easy to use and makes printing your pics very easy and quick, unless you are looking for a camera with lots more features at a much higher price I would reccomend taking a look at this one.
i dont know where i would be without my digital camera, and costing around £150.00 in guernsey anyway, youd be stupid not to have one.
And yes as your probably all wondering, they are so easy to use, i borrowed one from a friend for when my daughter was born and as soon as we came out of hospital we went straight to boots and bought our own, and its great for taking photos of your kids cos you can see the picture before you get it developed so if ... ...a photo developed thats no good.

Advantages: Large Screen, quality pictures, simple to use. Disadvantages: Software
The Olympus camera is stylish, nice and solid but not too heavy and is very robust. The slide back lens cover is secure and closes with a reassuring click. There are no fiddly buttons or lens caps here! The view screen is somewhat larger than most and is very clar and sharp. The operations menu is simple to understand but with lots of extra features for those who want to get more creative and/or technical in their photography. I suggest this as an ... ...technical wizardry but still allows the user to develop some skills. You can point and shoot if you want to, but you also have the option to use the 3x optical zoom ( zoom in before taking the picture using the camera rather than zooming in using the software later on). There are different settings for Landscape, Portrait, Self-Portrait, Night Photos, Back lit, dull weather and Macro photography, but you can keep the setting on Automatic until you ...

Manufacturer's product description
Are you looking for a digital camera with a range of advanced features, zooming flexibility and great image quality at a moderate price? Look no further. The 3.2 million pixel C-360ZOOM makes quality shooting a snap. With a 3x optical zoom for close-up fun, this camera really brings your shots to life. You can even focus down to 7cm for truly eye-opening detail in the camera's super macro mode or record video clips with the integrated movie function plus sound.Whatever your particular locations, conditions or subjects may be, five special scene programs make sure you master every photographic situation. For example, the landscape setting is often handy when on holiday. And for capturing the beauty and atmosphere of the bay after sundown, simply switch to night scene. Even the tiniest details, such as the intricate pattern of a shell on the beach, can be recorded in Super Macro mode, which lets you shoot from just 7cm away. There are times, however, when a static image just can't convey the magic of the moment like video. For instance, that one-off moment on the summer holiday when dolphins came to play alongside the boat. Don't worry, the C-360ZOOM can record the spectacle in a video sequence with sound.Digital technology of course makes it much easier to share these special moments. The image and video files may be effortlessly downloaded to the computer and emailed to friends and relatives anywhere in the world. Printing is child's play too. Since the camera supports the PictBridge communication standard, you don't even need a PC for printing. Just connect the camera to the PictBridge compatible printer CAMEDIA P-10. This produces laminated prints that really impress with their stunning photo-realism. Alternatively, you just need to take the xD-Picture Card containing the data out of the camera and bring it to your photo dealer. The store will be able to provide you with first-class prints in no time at all.The CAMEDIA C-360ZOOM is also compatible with the Olympus Software Development Kit (SDK). This lets you control all the camera's functions from a computer, such as zoom, exposure and camera release. The C-360ZOOM delivers ease of use, an attractive, compact design and high quality photos you'll really want to keep - all at a truly modest price.
good value, good mode selection, good quality, well built, canon quality, good battery life, good resolution and quality, good manual controls, good LCD
clumpy, clunky design and controls, too big to be a true compact, interface pauses, zoom irritating, not worth the upgrade from G3 (*)
