My previous Olympus digital was the 3020, which was great but bulky (and "only" 3MP). This gives higher resolution and is easy to use, but the flash has nothing like the reach of the previous one. Also, the main manual is only on CD, so you have the choice of printing it (a huge task!), printing the bits you need, or sitting at the computer trying to figure things out. The basic printed manual is very, very basic.
Having said that, I wouldn't swap back!
Great, fast start up and shutter speed for action shots - although you often need the flash for these unless in very good light. It's large enough not to lose in a pocket or for the buttons to be fiddly, but small enough to take along without thinking twice, and the optical zoom is superb.
