The camera also has a timer built in for those group photo’s with no one around to take them. The on screen writing can be changed between languages: English, French, German and Spanish. And once you have taken the photo you can then go in to a menu where you can edit the picture, and make it black and white, or sepia, or reduce the size, rotate or duplicate the picture. The good thing about digital cameras is that you can view the pictures and delete the bad ones…. before anyone else sees them!
EASE OF USE: For a right handed person, this camera is fine, but a left-handed person would find it harder to use due to the buttons being designed around the right hand. The manual was easy to understand, but I don’t tend to read them, I just click away and learn. I found it easy to teach myself how to use it, and quickly found my way around the on screen menus.

SIZE/WEIGHT: The camera is a good enough size and weight that you could carry it easily in a handbag, or just in your hand. (Minding thefts!)
PROBLEMS I FOUND: I thought the picture quality was low and very grainy. And the camera was very slow in between saving the photo and allowing you to take another, I found it really annoying when you see something you want to capture, but the camera I just not ready in time! Please read my personal experience with this camera below for more information on these problems.
OVERVIEW: I tend not to use this camera, after all, you take pictures to keep, so why skimp on the quality? It Is a good camera for using to putting on the internet quickly, i.e. on eBay, or in an email.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CAMERA: I am a keen photographer, and have the big SLR camera with all the lenses and extras. My fiancé decided that I would be nice to get me a small point and shoot camera for when we're on the go, instead of caring around the baggage of the SLR. So he brought me one for Christmas.
At first it seamed a nice idea, because we were snap-happy and photographing everything. The pictures looked good on the camera screen, but when we plugged the camera into the TV for a quick view of the pictures I became very disappointed with the camera, as the pictures were very grainy. I decided that this was due to the fact that It was being stretched to fit the TV screen, so I plugged it into the PC. Again the picture quality was appalling, especially with what I was use to with the SLR camera.
We had expected a little more from a camera with 2 mega-pixels, as it mad me think about the camera with less mega-pixels than this. What was their quality like?
This wasn’t the only problem, the camera didn’t like photographing things with white in the foreground, as this just fuzzes out, like it couldn’t cope. I took a really nice picture of my big ginger cat, but when it came to viewing the image, it was totally ruined, due to the white stripes hazing the picture out when the camera couldn’t cope!
The second problem I have with this camera, is that compared to all my friend’s digi-cameras, the speed it takes to save the picture and get ready for taking another is ridiculously slow, I find it really annoying when you see something you want to capture, but the camera I just not ready in time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope my review helps. Emma x
In my opinion this Olympus Camera is not very good for its purpose as it crashes most of the time, i have to keep changing the batteries every day and it is also quite heavy than execpt for me. If you are looking for a camera to take out with your self in the day then I would personaly not reccommend this camera, I think that this camera is to be used at night with the flash on, as the pictures would come out much clearer than they would in the day. ... ...you could go for this Olympus Camedia D 390, because in my opinion I think it wont last or work that much after you have used it a little bit. I was dissappionted with this camera as I was willing for this camera to be much better and reliable. I am not too into the looks either, I am a person who likes creativity, and this camera is too plain and is not up to my standards in looks. ...

Advantages: Excellent picure quality, ability to take small films. Disadvantages: Uses batterys quite quickly.
My family bought this camera about three years ago. Ever since we have used it on every holiday and every special event that we wanted to remember. Although it uses batterys quite quickly I feel that most cameras do and the good points of the camera certainly out weigh the bad points. I have found that the ability to erase pictures that you don't like there and then very handy as you don't have the problem of getting home and getting them processed ... ...go back to the place where you took them. I find the movie function very useful, I always use it to give a fuller view of the place I am at. The programme that you use to download the pictures of the camera is very simple to use and allows you to design special cards etc. for your loved ones with ease. You can easily create folders to keep your photos seperate. Overall an excellent buy! ...

Advantages: value for money, ease of use Disadvantages: battery life runs out very quickly
This is a great camera for staters as it works as any other 35mm camera would without you having to use the digital screen! The pictures are easy to brwose through and the navigation around the cameras menu is quite simple.
I have to say the favourite thing about this product is the software 'camedia' that comes with it-there is a great function for changing photos which is extremely simple to use (even my dad can use it!) such as reducing red eye ... ...phots in to seperate 'albums' (that is folders to you and me) and name them all seperatly and then group them if you want to. The software is just fantastic! The other great thing is the ease of downloading the photos to the software-simply insert provided usb cable to computer and camera and camedia will automatically start downloading the photos to the software.
All said and done the quality of the photos i have back from online printers has been ...

Advantages: Nice Weight Disadvantages: Bad Zoom quality
This camera is a great little camera, i got mine from boots for £89 for my last christmas, it is so useful.
when taking pictures it has the best quality ever. When zooming in i would not advise zooming straight up to the object because it does tend to blur out a bit.
There are so many functions, flash modes and colour modes. Some photos can be taken in black and white. i used this to take photographs of my little brother when he was a baby they ... ...wall.
The camera does not weight much and when brought new it comes with a strap so you can not drop it. one thing that i would have liked to have received with the camera was a camera holder/bag i had to buy one on top of the camera. when i brought my camera it came with a 32mb memory card, which is alright but could be better.
This camera looks nice, takes great pictures, has great features and comes with lots of different software to make sure ...
