How I Discovered It
I knew about the DS like most other people, through word of mouth. I never had the desire to buy one until the beginning of 2008 when for some strange reason I set my heart on getting one. I think it was because I had seen the adverts for brain training on the tv a lot at this point, they were on almost every day.
Then I played on my friends step-mums DS and that was it, my mind was made up, I had to have a DS, all I had to do was figure out how I was ever going to afford one.
Price and Availability
The DS Lite on it's own is generally £99.95 on it's own in most shops, obviously on some online shops/auction sites you can find it cheaper, but generally the cheapest I've seen it sell for is around £50. It usually works out cheaper to buy the DS as part of a bundle that includes one or more games ...

Advantages: Robust, Quality Production, Light, Comfortable, Fun, Interactive Disadvantages: Missing some big titles
The DS Lite is a great hand held console, it is well designed and offers a huge range of interactive games that make use of its touch screen technology. The console itself is slim and light weight but it feels sturdy and robust and fits nicely in your hands, it is the perfect size for adults and children to comfortably use. Protective cases are readily available and are recommended for keeping your DS safe and clean. The DS boasts good quality audio output that adds to the experience of gaming, on full volume the quality is still top notch and undistorted. The DS has wireless capabilities allowing it to connect with other DS consoles for multi-player gaming. The touch screen technology and speech recognition features allow for a whole new generation of interactive and stimulating games, making gaming more engaging and fun. ...

My sister owns a DS and when i had a quick look at it the graphics were really good, Quick to get hold of how to play it. Seems like a really good little game that can be carried around with you for to cure the boredness. Usefull for all the long car journeys.
I think that these DS can be expensive but they do have deals on a lot of the time where you can buy a DS and get two games free and will cost about £130. Not only are the DS expensive games are aswel. My sister plays 'The Sims' and the games she has, cost about £40-£50. Expensive but kids love them...especially as you can play against your friends on some of the games. ...
