Advantages: Beautiful continuous tone, photo quality prints, great "feel" to prints fun to watch print Disadvantages: cost, proprietary papers and ribbons, lack of wide color gamut, max-print size 7.64 x 10.146"
...While the OlympusP-400, dye sublimation printer makes one heck of a nice photo print with all the look and feel of prints you'd get straight from Kodak, it is one expensive peripheral. It's definitely not for everyone.
To give you some idea where I'm coming from in my comparison of this printer to inkjets, I have an Epson 1520 and an Epson 1270 as well as a Okidata laser. I've done actual photo file comparisons between several HP, Olympus and Epson inkjets for my Olympus C2500L photo chat list. Advantages: 800FSB P4 support, SATA, 8 USB2 connections, AGP 8X and 6ch Sound with SPDIF Disadvantages: ASUS motherboard site can be down at times
...and fires data between them to effectively give you double the memory performance. Not to mention this board will support 4x sticks of memory up to an incredible capacity of 4GB
Native SATA support. Serial ATA(SATA) is the latest technology for hard drives offering increased bandwidth to let hard drives be taken to the next level of speed and performance. What makes the SATA connections on the P4P different is that they are native to the chipset, normally when installing a computer with windows 2000 or XP and using SATA, you would have to load in special drivers for the OS to recognise it. Since these are supported by the chipset, you are able to just install your Operating System with no need for complicated driver setup.
AGP 8X. It's not the size that counts, it's how much ASUS have packed into this, the board has the latest AGP 8x...

Advantages: Brilliant quality and wide range of card slots. Disadvantages: Expensive if replacing cartridges each time (DON'T, REFILL INSTEAD!!!!)
...The Lexmark P915 is perfect for anyone needing printouts of documents and professional quality photos. The speed of the P915 is quite impressive but not the fastest printer. The quality is superior due to its large consumption of ink per print!! Although the ink is drained out of the cartridge very quickly, they can easily be refilled using a budget refill kit and saves you hundreds of pounds overall. The paper support isnt the best design and sometimes the paper can get jammed or not feed through at all if not positioned exactly correct. The wide range of memory card slots of hte P915 allows many cards to be attached but unfortunately for me, my XD card isnt actually recognised by the printer but is by the Olympus camera which came with the bundle (don't know what happened there!!) The ease of use of the P915 is simple; the menu clearly...
