It has a large range of features avaliable on the camera which help to improve the picture quality and make it so you dont have to be close to the object to take a photo of it.
I think this camera is very easy to use, I had no problems with using it and was taking photos not long after getting the camera.

this is an average camera not too big not too small and it is average an weight for a camera which makes it easily transportable.
This is a very stylish video camera design and this helped to attract me to buying the camera in the first place but also what helped to sell this camera was all the different features.
It costs between £200 and £350, I was very happy to buy this camera for over £200 because of all the different features that come with the digital camera, and especially the picture quality from long range.
I think the instruction manual is easy to understand, but there are a lot of features to grasp the hang of which have alot of information about them and how to work each feature.
Overall i think this is a really good digital camera with excellent picture quality it has many other different features, and for what you receive it is well worth paying over £200.

The OlympusSP-550UZ has an impressive 18x optical zoom, one of the biggest zooms on a non-SLR camera. Combined with "Dual Image Stabilization" it is very good for taking close-ups without the need for a tri-pod.
The 7.1 megapixels produce high resolution pictures and the camera's ability to shoot in RAW mode allows for extensive manipulation in the editing studio.
The camera can be manipulated to shoot manual photo's, giving far more control than usual on a "point-and-click" digital camera. The aperture values range from f 2.8- f 8.0, and the shutter speeds range from 1/2000-15seconds. There is also a "Bulb" setting which leaves the shutter open for as long as the shutter button is pressed. The ISO can also be changed, with values from 50-5000.

I've had my OlympusSP550UZ camera for around a month now and I just LOVE IT ! ! !. The camera is packed full of features which you expect to find on a full blown D-SLR never mind a compact. The best thing about the camera is the optical zoom, 18x magnification, so you can get a crisp close up shot without the need to get close to your subject. I recently took to photos of the solar eclipse with fantastic results!!.
