Advantages: Takes AAA batteries and....er.....er...hmmmm.... takes AAA batteries Disadvantages: Awful screen, not user friendly, feels cheap and nasty, made out of inferior materials etc. etc.
I needed a new digital camera and fast and only having the ability to get to Argos (because of the late night opening times) the camera had to be available from Argos. The other criteria I set included a minimum of 12 mega pixels, face detection, a large screen, powered by AAA batteries and costing no more than Ł100. With the large number of cameras satisfying my criteria I thought I would have no problems in finding something suitable, it?s just a shame the Argos in Norwich is so poor and seems to have very little stock, so my choice was limited.
Since my first and second choices were out, I only had the option of three other models and the one I decided upon (without doing any research whatsoever) was the Olympus X-42. I had previously owned an Olympus and I was more than happy with it. I knew the Olympus brand and knew ...

This Olympus FE-5000 with Resolution: 10 Megapixels, Optical Zoom: 5x and LCD: 2.7" with 16 shooting modes is a remarkable piece of equipment. it is sleek and stylish and will fit easily in your pocket.This is one of the cheaper digital cameras from the world famous brand. It has a great lens, which really helps in low light conditions. Its lens can capture light very efficiently. flash is pretty powerful for its size.
Overall i would say if you have the budget to get one of these and you don't want to compromise the quality of your pictures, don't hesitate just go for it.
Here's something that might interest you:
All shutter delay times were about standard. A single photo took 0.32 seconds while five clocked 15.08 seconds. With flash, times were 0.55 seconds for one photo and 16.09 seconds for five.
