Introduction
The Canon EF-S 10-22mmf3.5-f4.5 USM lens is a high quality wide-anglezoomlens that is ideal for landscape, architectural and interior photography.
It is designed to be used with all Canon EOS cameras with an APS-C sized censor and an EF-S lens mount, it cannot be used with Canon full frame or film cameras, also some older EOS models will not accept this lens either.
To see if your camera is compatible with this lens, check your camera for the following.
All Canon EOS cameras have a red spot on the lens mount to denote the lens alignment for EF mount lenses, check to see if your camera has an additional white spot to denote the lens alignment for EF-S mount lenses, if it does, then this lens will fit.

GOOD+ at f/5.6. From f/8 to f/11, performance remains excellent and only at the very smallest apertures is there any softness, due of course to the inevitable diffraction of light through the miniscule aperture of the lens's diaphragm. Edges are perhaps a little soft at 22mm focal length and f/4.5 but even here, they can be brought to order by stopping down to f/5.6 or f/8.
CA's (Chromatic Aberrations) or colour fringing, are very well controlled on this lens. This is quite surprising for such a wideanglelens with lots of elements. Sure, CA's are visible at 100% viewing on your monitor with high contrast or strongly back-lit subjects taken from between 10 and 14mm but, they are really quite small - around 1 pixel and well defined which, makes them very easy to correct via software.
In my opinion, this is a very good lens ...
