What a fabulous little camera this is. If you're looking for a compact digital camera with over 6 million megapixels that is very, very small, then you can't do better than the Mju 600 from Olympus.
When I first saw it I knew it was the camera for me. I wanted a nice small camera to take on holiday that was very small but packed a punch. By this I mean that it has 6 million megapixel, so you can happily print up to an A4 size without loosing the quality of your pictures. It has all the different flash settings you could need, for example: red eye reduction, fill-in etc. and yet it is only:
Dimensions: H55 x W97 x D27mm
Here is what this dinky little baby has got:
6.0 million pixels
BrightCapture Technology for better framing and better image results in low light including a special mode that reduces the possibility of image.
Weatherproof metal body in Navy Blue, Ruby Red & Arctic Silver
High-precision 3x zoom lens (equiv. to 35-105mm in 35mm format) 1:3.1-5.1

The main reason I bought this camera was for the big LCD monitor which provides generously sized images of your photos from angles as wide as 160 degrees under virtually any lighting conditions. It uses it special 'Brightcapture' technology to enhance the lighting of the screen so that you can see the image even in very low light conditions. (Very handy if you're in Iceland in December!)
The other reason for buying this specific camera was because it is weatherproof (equivalent to the IEC standard publication 529 IPX4) (Not waterproof I hasten to add!) Although there is also an optional underwater case (PT-029) available.
It comes in three different colours: red, blue and silver. I bought the red one because I thought it looked very stylish and a bit different. Olympus do their own case for this camera, but I found because the case included room for the memory card and batteries etc it was too big, so I bought a smaller one from the airport.
What's in the box???? This model comes with the following accessories:
Standard Box Camera Strap Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery Li-12B Battery charger USB cable Video cable OLYMPUS MASTER (Software CD-ROM) Instruction manuals Warranty card - 2 Year Olympus Warranty
The camera is very easy to use. In fact it really does make things easy. You don't have to know anything about photography to use it. When you enter the 'mode' section you just choose either:
Portrait, landscape, landscape + portrait, night scene, night + portrait, sport, indoor, candle, self portrait, available light, sunset, fireworks, museum, cuisine, behind glass, documents, auction (captures 3 pictures sequentially at different exposures in the appropriate size for e-auction!), beach and snow, under water wide, under water macro, reducing blur and movie.
In conclusion, this camera is very, very small but does everything a bigger and bulkier camera would do. The only down side is that the buttons for viewing your pictures and selecting the mode you want are a bit small, but you can forgive them for this because it is such a tactile, stylish camera.
Prices start from £160 on the internet. Shop around for the best buys. It's better to buy the memory card (XD picture card) with the camera as it works out cheaper.
Happy snapping!
