I actually bought the blue coloured mju 700, purely for the fact that i just really love the colour. you'll find that the mju 700 is available in silver, orange and blue. from what i've found searching around for the best deal, the blue is the most expensive, then the orange, then the silver (which is the cheaper of all three colours: available for about £163.89). even so, i bought this camera for £173.90 (from amazon.co.uk), and am absolutely delighted with it. i only ever buy olympus digital cameras (as i would a manual camera). it's a brand that i've used for many years that i trust and have had continuous quality results from. when i opened the box, i couldn't believe how light and slimline this camera was.....honestly, its sooooo diddy! everything was neatly concealed in this small blue olympus box (see list below of contents) and i was very impressed with what i got for the money i had spent. i'm also not very good with intrustions and dont generally pick up how to work things that quickly... technology in general being my mortal enemy! however after using my new olympus mju 700 for about five/ten minutes i pretty much had it all figured out! i think the different options for picture taking are fantastic... everything from shooting underwater to fireworks to pictures by candlelight. i also quickly tried out the film option. it films for up to 40 seconds with sound and is pretty good quality. all you have to do is press the power button, it automatically sets itself up and all you really have to do is point and click. the screen size is 2.5 LCD, which is fantastic for taking your pics and then viewing them after. there is no viewfinder, but with a nice big screen like this you really dont need one. i really cant praise olympus cameras enough. i'm very pleased with my purchase and will update after i've had a better chance to use it. so, over time i can report how well it's holding up... especially on nights out!
now....all the technical info. bare in mind i only list all this for people who might want all the details available:
