This camera is a very good model for everyday use. It is easy to use, the picture quality is good and options such as video capture, zoom facility and different picture modes (portrait, indoors, fireworks etc) allow a novice to take pictures to remember. It is very good value for money. The camera is lightweight and easily fits into most pockets. The battery life is reasonable as is the memory - although I would advise purchasers to get an additional memory card to increase the number of images that can be stored. Although this is a 7.1 mega pixel camera there is an option to reduce the size of the picture files to enable you to e-mail them to friends and family. The olympus software provided with this product is also very good and allows you to crop, correct red eye before you print your photgraphs.
