Phototastic!

Advantages: Easy to use, great picture quality, long-lasting
Disadvantages: No viewer

...early digital cameras. While the Olympus mju Mini has its drawbacks, I still prefer to use it than the old one.

~~~ Appearance ~~~
The camera is pretty small and fits easily into my handbag, or even my jeans' pocket! I think the main point in its favour is its size, since its so much easier to carry around than the brick I used to use. It's not too heavy and it doesn't get in the way. Its shaped is very rounded, ...
...about the appearance of the Olympus mju. Mine's a nice, silver colour, but there are other colours available, including black, blue and gold.
~~~ Ease of Use ~~~

I've found this camera to be very easy to use. The power button is labelled "power" in nice, clear letters. The button for taking photos is obvious. There's a little wheel on the top left (again, looking at the camera from the front) which ... more

Pictures are priceless

Advantages: Sleek, stylish, trendy, small, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Needs a larger memory card! 16mb is not enough!

The Olympus 4.0 megapixel Mini mju digital camera is something to admire. I've have previously owned two other digital cameras and neither of them were quite as impressive. The graphics were terrible, the memory was disappointing and they didn't look to stylish either. So how does it look? =============== The mini mju is small, sleek (95 x 55.5 x 27.5mm) and available in a selection of colours, these are: Jewellery Silver Pure White Cosmic ...
...own the Jewellery Silver mini mju. Not only does the camera look good and feel good, it's also easy to use and only weighs 115g(s). Easy? How easy? ========================= The top of the camera has two buttons and also a wheel switch. The small button turns the camera power on; the larger button takes your photos. To determine if you want to view photos stored on the camera, record some video footage or take some pictures you move the wheel ...

Are you MJU Too?

...popular MJU. As a result, Olympus have had to do some very careful thinking about how to not let the fans down at this festive time of year. The Answer? This sexy piece of kit! Before I get down to all the tech specs, Olympus have quite cleverly made their camera into a fashion accessory too, with the ability to choose from 6 different colours for you new best friend: Pure White Jewellery Silver Cosmic Black Copper Orange Crystal Blue Velvet ...
...clever, clever people over at olympus have managed to shave 5mm off of the length, and 50g of the weight, making this camera a groovy little pocket sized thing weighing in at a mere 115g. This combination of small size and light weight make the camera Ideal for people with an active lifestyle. GENERAL CONTROLS ************************* The mju mini is pretty easy to use, with the standard "click" shutter release button. Close to that is a knurled ...

Robust and Ergonomic

Advantages: Excellent quality of build, easy to use
Disadvantages: Poor Zoom function

When first receiving my Olympus µ[MJU:] Mini DIGITAL camera for my 18th birthday I took it out of the box and was instantly impressed. It immediately looks stylish, compact and with an ergonomic shape. The MJU mini fulfils its purpose excellently - a compact camera with decent image quality which you can take with you, anywhere. Being a student I have taken mine on nights out in my pocket and hardly noticed it is there, it weighs a little more than ...
...I am yet to submit the MJU to the elements to test it's all weather housing but am confident that it will stand the test adequately. The quality of build is excellent and the camera is so robust that despite dropping it countless times it still works superbly and not even the Liquid Crystal Display screen has shown any signs of wear. The camera is incredibly easy to use and fairly straightforward, even when selecting picture quality et cetera. Its ...

Point and shoot

Advantages: SIze, colours, ease of use
Disadvantages: zoom, xd

I got bought this as a gift so i can not say that i went around trying to pick the best camera for me. I've had it for about three months and have got familiar with it and how it works. First thing when you open the box is that you realise that this cool. In black this is a funky little thing (and it is little - comparable size to a deck of cards). Whenever i take it out i always get a positive comment about how it looks. You all the usual gubbins.... ...
...up and your ready to go. The camera is incredibly simple to use with three basic modes. Still pictures, video (at 320 x 240 with sound) and view mode. There is also a quick view button on the back to see what you have just taken at the click of a button which is a useful feature. The camera feels nice in your hands and is barely noticeable in your pocket. Also, it has a surprisingly large (1.8 inch) and bright screen making viewing the pictures ...

Hey there... just thought id write a quick review on this camera seen as though i have one! I used to have the orindary mju beforehand - which was very technical full of amazing functions i never used... it was more for the professional photographer! And if you look at my homepage you will see i dont do professional photos - just random ones! So i brought this baby mju - its like a fun version of the mummy mju! Its soo small and compact and does ...
...screen off so it wears the battery down low quite quick! So prepare to take your charger EVERYWHERE your camera goes!! Well its not quite that bad... it would last a day of shooting im sure! I have a 512mb memory card in my camera with images set to 1024x720! This works out brilliant as i get good quality piccies and i can store 2000+ on the card! This camera is good if you want a nice little digital camera with no hassle and easy to use too, you ...

Pretty in Pink

Advantages: Weather-proof, Light, Sturdy, Sleek, Sexy and affordable.
Disadvantages: None

With the travelling that I do these days I would not be without my trusty camera to record the events of everyday moments in time. To keep a record of all those colourful images that the minds album, even through my ageing eyes, stores up but lets them slowly fade away over time. Ugly, cumbersome, heavy, large and quite fragile are just some of the words I would use to describe cameras in general use at one time in the past but not anymore, they have come a long way forward since then. The new µ [mju:]-mini Digital S from Olympus is the one that I will review at this time, I bought it for the wife but I'm the one that uses it most of the time. Firstly I will give you a brief history of the Olympus company, they formed in 1919 and they started by making microscopes and thermometers. In 1936 the first Olympus camera called Semi-Olympus I ...
