When I last looked in there, there were clothes of every sort on sale. Many ... ...full of last year’s fake alligator look gear and as always there was other flashy stuff such as sequinned tops. There were also lots of skirts, trousers, jeans, shirts and tops, and casual sports wear. Sometimes there are scarves and hats on sale and occasionally clothes for children.

When I last looked in there, there were clothes of every sort on sale. Many of them were ends of line remnants including a rail full of last year’s fake alligator look gear and as always there was other flashy stuff such as sequinned tops. There were also lots of skirts, trousers, jeans, shirts and tops, and casual sports wear. Sometimes there are scarves and hats on sale and occasionally clothes for children.
Although at these prices you are not going to buy anything expecting it to last a lifetime, I would still advise that you check the stitching and finishing carefully on any garment that you are interested in. Sometimes there are some good bargains such as pure wool coats and cotton or linen jackets, but I have tried on some outerwear here and found the cut very odd and unflattering. Never, ever be tempted to buy anything without trying it on first. There are some changing rooms at the back of the shop and a full-length mirror just outside.
Much of the stock is more suitable for teenagers than older women but the biggest complaint I have about this store is the small sizes that much of its stock comes in. Petite women will have a great choice, but for larger women such as myself, the choice is more limited. I have found tracksuit bottoms that fit me, also coat and jackets. I’m too old to wear a short skirt now, but I’d love to be able to squeeze into the vast array of colourful summer tops currently on display.
Companies that I have never heard of have made many of the clothes here, so bear in mind that they may have been produced in East End sweatshops or third world countries. Most of the high street chains have a code of conduct regarding pay and conditions for their suppliers’ employees, but small discount shops like this probably won’t. If this is a factor that will influence your purchase decision, then go for the stock in store that has been manufactured by high street labels that you know has an ethics/environmental policy.
This shop is open every day including weekends and can get very busy. I find Sundays is a good time to look around and try things on without having to queue for ages. There always seems to be different staff working there, but without exception all the people I have dealt with have been very friendly and helpful.
