...wrist cuff that can accommodate wrist sizes from 13.5 to 20cm. The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) shows the Braun SensorControl active positioning system that has arrows pointing up and down that tell you if you have your arm in the right place next to your heart level. There are two large buttons on the front of the device one blue and one red, the red is for turning the monitor on or off but will turn itself off after two minutes if you forget, the blue is the memory button. The memory can store your last thirty readings that include blood pressure values, pulse, date and time of measurement, storing is done automatically and cannot be cleared once the memory is full the oldest values will be overwritten. ...Due to the fact that heart disease and hypertension (high blood pressure) seems to run in both our families, my wife and I decided to purchase a home blood pressure monitor. We weren't looking for any particular make and we ended up with an ibp, which seems to do the job very accurately. In fact I believe probably more accurately than when I've had it done in the doctor's surgery, because when one is usually visiting the doctor, it is with the anticipation (maybe subconscious) that something may be wrong and this sort of stress can elevate the blood pressure indicating a problem where there isn't one. At this point, you may think I'm being a little paranoid or even a bit of a hypochondriac, but I don't think so.
