From an early age, my friends and I were addicted to collecting TY beanies. For those of you who do not know (where have you been?), TY Beanies are a collection of little teddies in all forms of animals and teddy bears. Once you start a collection they are quite addictive. You find you are always looking for new ones and cannot stop buying them - havoc for your wallet, heaven for your collection!
One of the Beanies is a fish, who goes by the name of Coral. Its such a beautiful name - I was obsessed with sea coral as a child so this is a delightful treat for me. Coral is very attractive to look at too. She is coated in a delightful mix of rainbow colours: blues, yellows, pinks. She reminds me of the Rainbow Fish book every child will have read at some point, something else we can relate to with this fish. She is not as pluffed up as ...

Being a keen angler since childhood, whenever I go away on holiday I have to go on some kind of fishing excursion. After seeing Norfolk?s very own famous angler, John Wilson, taking on some of the largest fish in the world it had always been a dream of mine to follow suit and go "big game fishing". the cod version, these are made with 100 percent salmon, and they come with a lovely golden crumb coating. They come in a box of ten with a picture of Captain Birdseye on the front, and a picture of the fish finger with the end cut off, revealing pink salmon, sitting next to a succulent lemon wedge . The pack has lots of pink and peach accents, I assume to illustrate the salmon colour .
You can cook them in various ways - frying, grilling, or baking. I prefer to bake mine, since frying is unhealthy and I don't have the patience to watch over a grill, and they always come out crispy and golden. They take about 12 minutes at 230 degrees, and need turning over halfway through to ensure an even colour and texture throughout, I know from experience that not turning them over leaves them crispy on one side and soggy on the other.
