"Onguard Doberman not as tough as it sounds"

Got this lock on advice from a cycle shop in Sunderland called Darke Cycles, apparently the lock was really durable and really difficult for thieves to take off. So i bought it for around £22.
The lock was pretty simple to use, male and female ends to the cable and a key to open it. It came with 4 spare keys too which i didn't think i'd use but handy incase i lost them.
The cable was coiled so it didn't take up a massive amount of space in my bag either. But due to the coil it did have a tendancy to be quite springy when trying to put it on the bike and taking it off which was expected. This however was the downfall off my lock.
On trying to take the lock off the springy coil retracted and hit off the railings i'd fixed it too which damaged the female end of the lock quite easily. After this the male end went in but the mechanism felt quite wobbly. I could still use it but had to wiggle the lock to be able to turn the key.
Then after another 3 occasions of locking my bike i turned the key and it snapped. After a closer inspection I found the keys were a bit flimsy, I tried another 2 keys and both twisted to breaking point with very little force.

I decided to take i would have to remove it with force. This was also alot easier than described in the shop, after cutting the rubber down with a knive i managed to cut through the cable with a pair of snips in little over a minute.

If your bike is your pride and joy like mine is then i suggest you don't buy this lock. I have decided to chose a Kryptonite cable and bought a seperate lock from B&Q. Make sure u buy a lock with at least a 5 pin locking mechanism. Anything less is easier to pick.
