Snapfish - Great FREE online digital photograph storage.

Advantages: Free, 20 free prints when you join.
Disadvantages: None really!

I have recently started using Snapfish as a place to store my photographs as recently when the laptop I use went wrong I lost some really important photograhs to me and luckily I'd already uploaded some of them to receive my free 20 prints when you join Snapfish (you pay 99p postage for them). You upload your photographs to Snapfish and then select which prints you would like to receive free (new members only). I paid the 99p postage via credit ...
...just 9p each after your initial free 20 have been used up. Snapfish also do personalised gifts which is great with Christmas coming up! They sell Christmas Cards, Calendars, Photo Books, Mugs, Posters, Stationery, Collage Gifts, Mousemats, Clothing, Canvas & Acrylics, Gift Certificates and items such as Jigsaw Puzzles (Great for a young relative or perhaps your Great Aunt!!) I find that the prices are very competitive as you have the likes of Asda ...

Most Excellent Photo Company

Advantages: Very good quality, personal service
Disadvantages: Takes about a week, expensive

I have spent years sending off my films and more recently digital pictures to mail order and online photo developing and printing companies. I've always had ok results and the occasional lost film but the expectation when the prints arrive is always higher than it should be. Last week I saw a small listing on Google for the Most Excellent photo company, their website is good and they promise to print my photos better than ever. They guarantee results ...
...As soon as they arrived they called me to talk through what I wanted and a week later my photos were sent back. The were absolutely fantastic, they cost a lot more than, in fact about twice the price, but all my prints were fixed up and beautifully printed. In these days of looking for bargains and cheap deals everywhere sometimes it's worth paying a little bit more for quality. ...

STAY AWAY FROM FOTO.COM!Inexistent support. Orders don't arrive

Advantages: nice interface. good concept if it ever worked
Disadvantages: no support. slow upload. inaquracies in the FAQ of the site

I found foto.com service on Picasa application from Google. I really thought that since it is advertised in there it is checked out and reliable. I was wrong. I must admit that I was really impressed by the lay out and the functionality. I could do anything I needed to create my albums. I was so excited by the cheap service that I ordered 3 albums (70 Euros) in one day to 2 different addresses. Result (3 MONTHS LATER) 2 of the orders have been sent ...
...out. Their customer service never replied. I am only receiving their spam newsletter which I haven't yet blocked in case they finally reply.. Shame on me that I ordered through a site without a support phone number and without a proper support email address. Those are the no,1 rules in online shopping. Although I have never written a rewiev, I must admit that their service pushed me to do it. Advice: stay away from it! Nikos ...

Range of Services / Pro...

Speed of Delivery

Ability to Customise

photobox.co.uk

Advantages: An excellent service
Disadvantages: Costs a small amount of money

...guess!! But in all seriousness, photobox.co.uk doesn't just print your photos, in can provide all sorts of options for them. The website is very user-friendly to navigate, with an obvious index running down the left hand side of the page, and on the homepage, big adverts encouraging you to sign up. Once you do sign up, you advantage is that previous photos you've uploaded, regardless of what you've had done to them, stay stored in your user space, ...
...time uploading them again, or if you happen to lose the digital version. After the first batch of free ones, photos can cost as little as 5p - 10p for sizes 5"x3.75" to 6"x4.5" depending on how large an order you make...there is the slight increase in shipping costs, but at £2.49 for 20 - 49 prints, it's not too bad. You can even order over 50 posters and expect to pay no more than £6.99 in postage. You can request your prints in either matt or gloss, ...

Value for money

Speed of processing

Don't bother to ring Bonusprint's "Customer Service"

Advantages: Good quality prints, used to be good service
Disadvantages: Lousy service for telephone enquiries. Now slow and unpredictable turnaround

Having used Bonusprint's services for years, in my case to process 35mm film, today I had cause to ring them. Having sent a film on the 17th for processing and paid the "express" fee, it seemed reasonable to expect to get the prints back in under a week. When I rang them today on the 22nd to enquire the whereabouts they claimed to have only just received the film. The real point is that the woman on the end of the phone could [would] do nothing except ...
...refrain, "at this moment", leaving me to just wait up to another week. On this occasion I happen to need the pics for business purposes later this week. She refused to put me through to someone more senior, and may as well have been a recording. That would have been cheaper for Bonusprint and less frustrating for me. To have sent a message through to the lab asking for an assurance on my pics and relaying that back to me would have been simple. A ...
