Online Hotel Booking

If you have problems, don't expect help from Booking.com

Advantages: Website is easy to navigate and book your hotel
Disadvantages: Booking.com does not stand behind their own policies and their customer service is not helpful.

homelidays.com ~ By a first time holiday home renter.

Advantages: Friendly service and room to do a decent write up about your house.
Disadvantages: I haven't experienced any disadvantages at this time.

...those I did use was homelidays.com and I have to say that so far I am very happy with the results and fully intend to use them next year. Thanks for the warning

Advantages: good feedback - saved me some grief I believe
Disadvantages: Not sure yet - only just discovered this yesterday.

I stumbled across the planigo site yesterday and was impressed that a hotel normally always booked solid for a MotoGP race in Assen, Holland had availability, not to mention significant price reduction for other European hotels. I thought perhaps too good to be true. When I saw that a 15% charge would be applied for cancellations, regardless if done way in advance, turned me off -I didn't want to commit yet. Hoang Phong Hotel Saigon

Advantages: Everything was excellent
Disadvantages: Could not fault

Stayed at the Hoang Phong Hotel for 3 days starting May 31st 2009. Very clean, comfortable, great location, friendly,etc. We did not realise but we had left our passports in the Hotel and when we arrived at the airport the friendly young man was there waiting for us. I still cant believe that this Hotel drove out to the airport to return our passports. Wifi in room was also fast and also were given onward travel information without the hard sell. ...
