Full of vacancies which ultimately lead to nothing
Advantages: Comprehensive and searchable Disadvantages: Where does it all go?
...whether they are out of date quickly or I am doing something wrong.
I have had better leads with other sites such as Jobsite and Monster with speculative enquiries made to me direct.
With Reed.co.uk I feel that it is a big void of automated applications going nowhere. ...

quite simply, go elsewhere if you want a job
Advantages: simple Disadvantages: everything,
a very short review as not much to say apart from i'e never seen such an unhelpful jobsite.
I tried to search for jobs in my city, and all it did was bring up a load of jobs everywhere else. It completely ignored my search preferences. Whats the use of the search preferences !!!!!
It then brings up jobs that arn't what I wanted, a completely different job sector. Again, ignore what i've asked for, why not.
The jobs on the site are not up to date ...

Come for a paddle in the shark pool!
Advantages: Plenty of jobs, updated very regularly Disadvantages: Dated layout, some dubious content
Looking for a new job? As with most things these days you will find that turning to the internet can prove a useful exercise, although in this case there are certain things to be very wary of!
Jobserve is one of many job search engines on the internet - though it was the original and is probably the biggest. These "job boards" can be considered the modern day equivalent of classified ads that appear in the local paper. The vast majority of jobs ... ...- media and construction for example.
Simply enter your search criteria, keywords or phrases and location/s and you will be presented with, potentially, dozens of the latest vacancies posted by recruitment agencies and, though less commonly, employers themselves.
To apply for a vacancy you like the look of, you can upload a stored CV (you need to register for this but it is free and also allows agencies to search the CV database for suitable job-hunters) ...

The best of a bad lot
Advantages: Very easy to use, guaranteed to find you a job Disadvantages: Job descriptions can be a little too brief
I have searched the internet high and low for jobs all year as I am always needing part-time or temporary jobs and I always fail. However I just hapenned to come into luck when I did a quick search and found jobsite.co.uk. This little gem is hidden deep into the internet but once youve found it theres no unemployment for you!
I simply did a search on the areas of industry I was interested in and it came up with hundreds in my area! I am a bit crap ... ...around and I didnt encounter any slow links or anything.
Unfortunately Im a very picky person and I didnt particularly like any of the jobs it found me so once again I left the site feeling disheartened as I had so many times before. However this site has something a bit different. All I did was click on five job areas and my location and every time came online that wonderful 'youve got email' sound appeared and u on my screen hopped loads of jobs!!!! ...

Good job it's a free site
Advantages: Free, can find jobs not local to you Disadvantages: Very poor use of databases and search facilities
Gis a Job have picked a vaguely amusing name for their recruitment website. You might think, given their name, that their intention is to advertise jobs that are available for people to take.
I look at their site however and can only conclude that this is not the case. Let me put this plainly. The purpose of online recruitment sites is simple - to connect job seekers with employers. That's it. This works as follows. An employer needs to hire someone. ... ...on the job site (or gives them to an agency who put in on the site as part of their effort to find him an employee). A merry little job seeker comes to the site, looks through the available jobs and submits his CV.
This we might imagine is relatively simple. After all, it's all done with databases isn't it? You know, the employer or agency simply fills in the details of the job in an online form and away it goes. The job seeker then uses the handy ...
