If you don't mind being messed around...GR8 for a cheap holiday!

Advantages: good, cheap and easy
Disadvantages: bad customer service

About September time me and my friends decided we would embark on our first holiday together as just the girlies... We were all looking forward to it immensly but beofre we had even got there we had been messed about twice. Although I can't really complain each time they changed our hotel we got an upgrade, I mean we paid for a 2 * and got a 3 *, but we were still out of the way from all the clubs and the beach and it was a fair walk if you didn't ...
...it on the chin and when we got there we were dropped off in the middle of nowhere not knowing where to go...Literally not knowing where to go and at the age of 18 it was quite daunting. We ended up asking for a taxi number from one of the hotels colsest to us and realised we were a fifteen minute walk from our hotel with all our luggage in a country we didn't know the languague... Sykes cottages 'Don't care attitude' Again!

Disadvantages: Inaccurate descriptions, no trusts that inspections are carried out adequately, unclean etc

We booked a cottage through Sykes cottages in Wales and found the property owners lived in the basement - they could hear everything we were doing. This was not explained in the brochure and when we queried it before arriving - problems with arranging key collection made us suspicious - we were told not to be so silly and of course the owners didn't live at the property. In addition to this the property was not up to scratch - not clean (the worst ...
...as pet free but the owners used the property during the winter and had a dog! When all this was put to Sykes cottages they were not very helpful at all - were apparently not aware the owner lived there and the property had been inspected and apparently met standards. ...

The Holiday Place

Advantages: Great deals and good customer service
Disadvantages: Only cover 'long haul' destinations

...I found a deal on TheHolidayPlace.co.uk that seemed perfect, 10 nights in an all inclusive hotel in Holguin and 3 nights in Havana. To be honest, I expected the agent I spoke with to say "Sorry, there were limited places and that deal has gone..." as the deal was so cheap, but they simply said "Yes that's fine, would you like to book that now?" I had to pick up my tickets at the airport as I'd booked so late, and this made me a little nervous. ...

we went to gran canaria through this company.our stay was excellent.the rep was there when we needed her.from the time we got to the airport everything was done for us.on the plane they were very helpful with everything and even when we got to our destantion every thing run very smoothly,from the airport to our hotel we didn't have any trouble..everything the company said they were going to do they did.excellent firm.this company is a cheap and friendly ...
