This book is entitled 'The Bible Of Peckham Volume One', and it holds the scripts from the first five series of the great comedy programme that is only known to the majority of us as Only Fools And Horses. Of course every series had the usual five or six shows as per usual for any comedy series, and this book does also include any added Christmas extras and the like.
Along with the already mentioed information, it does also include various other extra pieces of comedy greatness that all helps to bulk out the book. This includes various adverts and menus that we hear mentioned about in terms of various references to food; business; local deals and so on, that are only really known about if you have ever watched these first five series - in other words, you need to have seen them before you have bought the book in order to know what is actually in fact being talked about throughout those pages that are not strictly script related.
Along with this, at the rear of the book there is also included a Derek Trotter dictionary that would explain all of the phrases that one would hear throughout the course of this programme. However although this book as already pointed out would actually in fact with the first five series only, a lot of the various turns of phrase that have been included are many of the ones that you would expect to hear them come out with during the course of the rest of the show (in all fairness however long this was in comparison to when the book was written!).
But if you are anything just like me and you know what Only Fools And Horses is all about, then you will see the funny side of those particular 'added extras' that have been included in this book. This is because they all relate in some way or another to various different parts of the programmes, and if you are the observant type then you will know just exactly where they come from.
There is also a cast list, that would show the entire list of people who had ever appeared in the first five series no matter how small the part was that they played. Should you ever wish to sit down and look through it all word for word, then you will notice that there are some people who have played a number of small parts - but then again with this said, many programmes in recent years may have actors or actresses who have played at least one or two parts in them!
On the inside of the front cover (there being an actual sleeve that is separate to the main hardback cover of the book) is a figure that states that the actual price tag of the book is £12.99, however I actually in fact bought this book quite some time ago and cannot remember where I bought it or even if this was the price that I paid for it! But with anything these days, it is always worth looking around in order to see the best deal that you can get for it.
Thanks for reading!
