Advantages: Easy to use, Aesthetically pleasing, User friendly
Disadvantages: Not enough variation from vista, no desktop button

Review of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Much lighter footprint then Vista

Advantages: Faster, good networking with other Windows machine, so far it has not crashed.
Disadvantages: price, best to do a fresh install which will involve backup & restore of information

Having read much of the hype on Windows 7 I decided to test out this new operating system by upgrading an old laptop. Looking though my cupboard of hardware I found an old IBM Thinkpad. Single Core processor with 1 GB of RAM (circa 2003). My first pleasant surprise is that just about all of the devices (mouse, speakers, WI-FI) etc worked out of the box. Review of Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

Windows 7 32 bit 64 bit Build 7000 / 7100

Advantages: More stable - Extended GUI - More features as standard -
Disadvantages: Drivers must be digitaly signed

...Vista is already compatible. Microsoft have already stated that windows 7 will not have extra support for nvidia's Sli or ATI's crossfire structures as these techniques reduce reliability, windows is ment to be the most stable OS yet. After installing the 7000 build 32 bit and the 7100 built 64 bit versions of Windows 7, both these releases are very stable and reliable. Few things have being moved not to much of a hassle. After installing both versions i had ran passmark pc benchmark software and the overall performance was significantlly higher from windows Vista Ultimate. Advantages: Loads of Features, Can run on Mac's

Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition (XP) I got XP in the year 2002, I bought it to upgrade my old dell to this new operating system. The dell had Windows ME on it. I had the computer for two years and I never had the Internet ether, and I never got the internet untill 2006. When I bought the operating system I bought it in a computer shop in Lisburn called PC world. It wasn't too badly priced. It was only £100.00! Which wasn't too bad back ...
