Optoma HD720X

Advantages: Great picture, little rainbow effect, good looking projector.
Disadvantages: No internal speaker

..."rainbow effect" but with this Optoma there is virtually no rainbow effect at all - this is due to the 4x speed colour wheel, which is faster than you would find in many other projectors. Out of the box, the picture is great. I found the yellows were maybe slightly muted but this can be adjusted by the on-screen menus. ...work. In operation, the Optoma is quiet, particularly in the "normal" brightness setting. It really is wonderful to watch a movie, or play a game on a projector - you get an 80", 90" or 100" image from something that costs the same as a decent 37" LCD TV - bargain or what?! i have just purchased the optima HD720x and i can say it is top quality my old projector which i thought was a very good picture is no match for the 720x i have been running my pc downloads of movies through the projector and was amazed at the quality of picture this is even with out HD just awesome thought it was HD and i cant think what an HD input device will display . must say if i had a choice of the new 70inch plasma that cost nearly £2000 or this machine i know where my cash will go VALUE FOR MONEY . ps and im just projecting it on my wall that has been painted magnolia how simple is that SORTED.

Great projector, got it set up with a screen size of 77 inches to play on a motorized screen but works fine on a light wall. No colour problems, i use it for normal tv and for the ps3, and it great. Good for everyday use, if you dont mind turning on a number of items to get it started-sound sys and sky/ps3 and then projector. Cant fault it, only slight down side is it uses quite abit of power-You can watch your meter zoom around, but its worth it with the picture.

Even the most seasoned gamer demands play with crisp high definition imagery on a screen of billboard proportions... in other words, with the HD720X projector.
