The OptomaThemeSceneHD65 is a great product to have in your living room. I choise the OptomaThemeSceneHD65 becoase my friend suggested that thid was the best prjector in term of picture quailty. Watch a HD movie from a DVD is like watching through a live window panel. I mean the colours are truely orginal to real live, its like watching something with your eyes. Me and my parents spend hours at night watching movie in HD. The colours are true, bright, strong, real. This is a must buy for anyone who like watching HD movies reqularly. I am plaing to buy myself some 5.1 sourround system to go with the projector. Imagine watching movies on a big screen with sourround sound. Plaining to call the whole family in the weekend ...
Advantages: Great picture quality, especially from HD sources.. Disadvantages: few niggles, poor power connection
Bought one of these a little while back after a recommendation for optoma DLP projectors. Was also reasonably priced for a HD projection system. Have this hooked up to my PS3 though its HDMI connection at present and it works like a dream, the picture quality is amazing in HD. Watching Bluerays is like being in the cinema. It is possible to use during the day as long as it is not too bright and the projected surface is not in direct light.
Have also connected via my laptop and the setup was very easy as well.
Did have a slight problem with the power cable, loose connection, however I got this replaced and has caused me no problems since. The projector has also kept telling me the bulb is reaching the end of its useful life, so I bought a new bulb. however it is still working 6 months after warning me.
In my opinion it is a great ...
Advantages: budget price, excellent quality, good bulb life, replacement bulbs not extortionate, easy to use Disadvantages: it's only an SVGA projector
skewed images. There is also a sleep-timer which, when set, will switch off the machine if you happen to drift into the land of nod during a movie - thereby saving precious bulb-hours, let alone electricity.
The only thing I?ve found is that, on an SVGA projector like ES522, some standard definition DVDs may not look as sharp when projected ?large? as they do when viewed on a TV. I gather this is a limitation of the technologies involved rather than a shortcoming of ES522. At any rate, we couldn?t afford more than £300 for a projector and are delighted with the quality we have. Therefore, I can heartily agree with those experts who?ve said that the Optoma ES522 is a great bang for the buck and a wise way of sampling the projector scene. But do compare ES522 with other budget models from BENQ & VIEWSONIC which are also reckoned to be pretty ...
