Advantages Advantages Instant relief, Soothing and Cooling effect

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only for minor irritations. Effect may not last long for some people

Maintaining and taking care of your eyes is very important. One of the problems that I have is that my eyes are very prone to getting sore and red whenever theirs too much dust or smoke (cigarette smoke) around. The nature of the business that I do almost always puts me into environments that undoubtedly affect my eyes. I travel to Africa very regularly and there always so much dust around. I’m out almost every other night attending dinners or parties and this is where the smoke comes in. One of my most trusted companions is “Optrex Fresh Eyes Eye drops”. As you might we ... more

Using eye drops always seems like a great idea in theory to me, but on a practical level I do struggle. I am one of those people who ‘has a thing about eyes’, if you know what I mean. Ever since I was little, if something managed to get into my eye I would panic and then cry. A fly once flew in when I was about seven or eight and I can vividly remember my poor mother trying to get me to calm down so she could help me to get it out. I think it’s for that reason I think I’d LIKE to use eye drops but do struggle. So… what do you do when you suffer from terrible dry eyes, as I do, but are worried ... more

Advantages Advantages Get rid of the dry eye feeling very well, and easily available everywhere.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little pricy.

Suffering from fibromyalgia I experience a whole host of 'extra' problems that one wouldn't necessarily immediately link to such an illness. These vary from eye issues to ibs and reflux, and some are more troublesome when they occur than others. One of the things that I get sometimes (which initially had me flying to the docs and being sent to the hospital to get it checked out) is the feeling that something is in under my eyelid scratching my eye. It actually feels like there is a tiny wee needle stuck to the inside of your eyelid, and every time you blink or have your eye closed it feels ... more

Advantages Advantages gives a fresh feeling

Disadvantages Disadvantages is there a difference with the dry eyes version

I wear lenses and glasses and the mean reason I still switch now and then is because I can't stand dry eyes. Thank god for eye drops and sprays to handle these sore eyes. I always seem to get them when I'm at work and that's due the computer but also the air conditioner. I often have the same problem in the car with the ventilator blowing. I asked my optician and he said its quiet normal to get dry eyes in these conditions but you have to be careful that your eyes don't get too dry or that your eyes get irritated. Since I work five days in the week and I love to wear my lenses, I really can't ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap preservative free solution, bottle lasts a month, widley available

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesnt do the job for me, causing stinging in my eye

I suffer from dry eye which gets worse when I wear my contacts and in certain environments such as windy and air-conditioned rooms. I use eye drops to help relieve the uncomfortable and gritty feeling I get due to this. I normally use blink contact vials that can be used when contact lenses are on the eye but they cost a lot at £5 for 20 and as each can only be used once these only last 20 days and there is quite a lot in the vials for just a single use and I find that I have to wait a while for the eye to settle before I can add another drop otherwise the drops just fall down my checks. The ... more
