Lush Gorilla Perfumes Orange Blossom

If any-one reading this review is a regular reader of the reviews I have written then you are probably starting to notice a bit of a trend, as all of my latest reviews have been about perfume. This is thanks to the sample set I recieved for my birthday.

I am not a girly girl in no shape or form, and very rarely bother with myseft much, unless it,s a celebration party or a wedding.

There are however the odd time when its great to get spoilt and have expensive gifts lavished on you, and one of these times, for me was 2 weeks ago on my 40th birthday.

My lovely partner bought me a sample set of 7 newly marketed perfumes from Gorilla Perfumes.
He knew that when ever we went out and I made an effort I would always use Lush items of cosmetic's.

Mark and Simon the perfumers who have set up Gorilla Perfumes are father and son, and the father half of the duo is the co-founder of Lush Handmade Cosmetics.

I totally love the fact that every fragrance they have made is base on a memory, Orange Blossom was created after a bike ride through a country lane in the Med, and taking in the scent of the Orange Blossom along the way.

This really shows to me that the perfumers are dedicated and create beautiful fragrances because they love what they do.

Orange Blossom is described as a 'Distilled Mediterranean Moment' by Gorilla Perfumes.

When I first applied some of this to my wrist, I must admit that the scent certainly was a gorgeous fresh orange.
After wearing it for a couple of hours the fragrance continued to be fresh and citrus, and really reminded me of a hot summers day.
It lasted really well throughout the day and although the strength of the aroma lessened, I continued to get wafts even at bedtime.

Apparently, Mark and Simon were creating a fragrant orange candle when they made Orange Blossom perfume.
The fragrance they had come up with was so gorgeous, they decided to make it into a perfume.

The oils used are:

Orange Blossom
Neroli
Rosewood
Ylang Ylang
Sandalwood
Beeswax

Although I do really like this perfume, it does remind me slightly off some cleaning products that contain Orange oil which is a little off putting !

The website is really worth having a look at as you can really tell that the father and son duo put there heart and soul into their perfumes.

CONCLUSION

Over all this is a citrus smell of summer, that I would use during the day. Its not too strong or heavy and lasts well.
If I can get over my personal comparison to household cleaner I will probably buy this in the spritzer.
The price range is very good

Over all 8/10 mark
