Orange Pay As You Go

Advantages: Free Txt's Off Peak, Free Orange 2 Orange Talktime
Disadvantages: Difficult to speak to customer services!

...600 free minutes to other Orange mobile users) is great for anyone, like me, who has friends/family on Orange. The only down sides that I have found so far is that the free minutes are a month in arrears, so your first month you have to pay for all your calls regardless of time or network.

Once you're through this stage, for £15 you get 600 off peak minutes to other Orange mobiles, 3000 off peak messages, and £15 of credit for peaktime ...
...I can further reduce my costs by buying txt bundles, for £8 you can get 150 txts, or for £12 400 txts - all in addition to the free things already mentioned. I have found that by topping up £25 a month, using £12 for the 400 txt bundle and £13 for credit, I have reduced my bills from an average of £75-£85 a month to £25!

Thanks to Orange. A highly recommended tariff!  ... more

Orange

Advantages: Excellent signal coverage.
Disadvantages: Change of off peak doesnt really help

After many years of using Orange i changed to Vodafone, this is because i bought another phone which was on that network. I found orange a good network to use, the netwrok coverage was very good, even in the remote country side in wales (on top of a mountain and in a valley) i had a good signal strength. The calls were quite expensive, but i dont make very many voice calls, so this wasnt too much of an issue to me. The texts were more reaonable ...
...reduction for sending many at a time. Nor was there an opportunity to 'bulk buy' texts, which is one thing i could not do with out now. The Vairable off peak hours sounds very attractive, but i didnt find it very use ul, the options they give you are not typical of a persons working day, and non of them seemed very applicable to my (or other i know) daily life. ...

Can't fault Orange

Advantages: Value for money, good service, excellent cusomer service, very good offers
Disadvantages: None

...else where. A friend suggested Orange Pay as you go. I was a bit dubious as I always considered pay as you go to be on the pricey side. They explained various options available so I went for it. You can order a free SIM from the internet. Once registered you can open an online account where you can set up how you want your pay and go to work. For example mine is now set up so that if I top up £10 a month I get 300 free txts for that month. You also ...
...be an orange number, but you can call that number anytime of the day for 15p for an hour... bargain!! After 6 months you can add another magic number and again after another 6 months. On top of this when I registered for this service I got 300 free txts right away before I has even topped up. So now I have been paying £10 pounds a month. Can't grumble at that!! ...

ORANGE

Advantages: Great coverage; Good value for low users
Disadvantages: Very expensive if you are a heavy mobile phone user

I have been with orange for nearly 2 years now, and i still think they are the best. They have the best coverage in the u.k. thats not my oppinion, thats a prooven fact. As for my oppinion on the coverage, theres only one place ive been which has no coverage, and only very raerly do i have low signal. The prices of orange vary. For low users (like me) it can be very cost effective but if you use the phone alot it can work out very expencive, especialy ...
...minite to other networks is steep for everyone. Overall, orange is the best network if you use your phone mainly for texts or occasional phone calls. If however, you use your phone often, and to other networks, i would recomend tesco mobile, but i will allways be on orange. ...

Review of Orange Chose Your Own Offpeak Pay As You Go

Pay as you go saves me money

Advantages: Very good cheap way to use a mobile phone
Disadvantages: If you are a heavy phone user it could end up costing a fortune

Having been on Orange Pay As You Go for about five years I have few complaints. I'm a fairly light phone user, usually spending less than £10 a month. Since most pay monthly contracts would cost me far more than this, their offers of brand new phones and free minutes and texts aren't really tempting. The Text Saver package I have gives me 5 free texts a day for ever which means that sometimes I use up no credit for days. I very rarely need to make ...
