I've been a subscriber for 2 years and I think Orange is the best network but it does depend what you use your phone for. I have gone for the Planahead Talk 30 service plan which gave me 18 months with 30 mins free calls per month at any time of day. I rarely use more than this and when I need more I reroute the calls off the Orange network using a freephone number. This is because thier rate per minute after the free time is high at 25 - 30p, but I can get it down to 3 - 5p by the method above.
The main other thing to watch is that calls to the message retrieval service are charged at 3p per minute and calls to other mobile networks at the full rate so the free calls only apply to the landlin calls and to other Orange phones.
Other than that , which isn't a lot to remember, it really works well and I have had no problem with the customer service and rarely have problems with reception. The main blackspot I've found is in the Scottish borders from about Dalkeith down to the border.
