No Man's Land

Advantages: A great action movie.
Disadvantages: None

This is a movie about a guy called Ted Varrick (Charlie Sheen) who owns a garage specializing in repairing Porsches, but they also steal Porsches make them untraceable and then sell them off as being brand new. But there was a police officer tailing their tracks and had enough evidence to put them in jail but he got killed. So they found a young rookie police officer called Benjy Taylor (D.B. Sweeney) who was good at repairing Porches to go undercover to work at the garage as a mechanic to try and find out who killed the police officer. Where Dimensions Collide... In No Man's Land

Advantages: Well-written, mysterious, fascinating story with fantastic characters.
Disadvantages: None

After years of hunting down the man in black, things didn?t necessarily go as planned for Roland at the end of ?The Gunslinger? [book 1 in ?The Dark Tower? series]. His obsession with the Dark Tower is as strong as ever, however, there are other forces at play ? forces far more powerful and dangerous than the man in black ever was ? it?s no longer a question of what Roland wants, more is it a question of what he is prepared to do in order to get what he wants? but first he has to survive ?The Drawing of the Three?. Having been told a bit of his future by the man in black during their ultimate standoff in the first book [The Gunslinger], Roland awakens at the start of ?The Drawing of the Three? on a desolate beach, not seven hours after this confrontation. His awakening is far from a gentle one? Roland is being attacked by a giant ...

No Middle Ground

Advantages: A well crafted tragi-comic satire on war
Disadvantages: Possibly one weak performance?

Documentarian Danis Tanovic's first feature film, No Man's Land, is a tragi-comic satire dealing with the war in Bosnia Herzagovina and its relationship to the media and the UN peacekeeping forces. The Belgian film school graduate who wrote and directed this thought-provoking film, is more than qualified to deal with this conflict, not just as a Bosnian, but also as a documentarian who spent two years filming at the front. This low budget film (that only cost around $1 million) has received international acclaim, scooping a large number of awards since its release, most famously winning the best foreign language film Oscar in March 2002. A Bosnian relief party are making their way to the front line through dense fog, disorientated, they decide to stop for the night, and find themselves in the middle of no man's land the next ...
