I have been using a previous Oregon Scientificprojection clock for the past couple of years, and I have been very pleased with it. I decided to get this model because one of the main points is that the projection is strong enough to be seen in daylight. Even on a really bright day, it is still possible to see the time on the ceiling or wall, unlike previous models.
As with previous models, it has the radio controlled time feature, meaning that it is always up to date, and requires no manual changes. Although it is possible to turn the radio signal receiver off, and do it manually. This may have to be done if you are using it in an area of weak or no signal. With this clock, it has a switch so that it can be taken anywhere in Europe, and it should continue to work.
The clock also came with an outdoor temperature sensor which requires a single AA battery to power it. So long as it is in range of the clock, then the outside temperature can be displayed. It also displays the inside temperature which is taken from a receiver on the clock.
You also get some options with the projection. You can have it continuously projecting the time; or it is possible to have it on a cycle through consisting of time, inside temperature and outside temperature, or there is an option for you to turn the projection unit completely off.
There is also a button which lets the user change the temperature between ⁰C and ⁰F. The clock also has an alarm function, which allows you to set an alarm for a time, which is very easy to adjust and switch on and off.
The clock also has a slot for a CR2032 battery (flat), which holds the time if the power is cut to the clock. The battery is supplied with the clock, so it doesn't cost anything just to put it in. It also means that it takes no time to restart once it has been turned off.
The most amazing feature on this clock is the way that you change between the different mode displays on the clock itself. To do this, you move your hand over the sensor located on the left side of the clock. By doing this, it will allow you to change between the time, alarm time, inside temperature and outside temperature. It also has a secondary function, by pressing it, the alarm is activated and deactivated.
Overall this clock is brilliant, you can see the time clearly during the day, and looks stylish. The ability to change the time manually or have it done via the radio signal is brilliant, and it has the cool sensor functionality.
