I could not have chosen better. It's a very handy pocket sizes camera. It's 1.3Mpixel resolution provides excellent images of 7"x5" and certainly for webwork, and internet auctions I don't need anymore than that.

The camera cost less than £70, including a 32Mb Smart Media card, so was very good value for money. Without the card it is £58. It has a 2Mb in-built memory.
The quality of the output is really good, and compares favourably when looked at against other cameras of similar specification.
Pictures can be taken in 3 quality modes, fine, normal and basic. Top resolution is 1280 x 1024.
Having used standard 35mm film cameras since I can remember I decided for my first foray into digital photography to go for something fairly simple and cheap.
After much looking, and reading of reviews, I opted for the Oregon Scientific DShot III.

It is very easy to use, and from time of receiving it to beginning to take photos with it was less than 10 minutes. It comes with a very clear, comprehensive manual, and the functions are very easy to understand.

The camera does have a digital 2x zoom, but this cannot be used in the highest quality mode, and I have tended not to bother.
It's also got Macro mode, video mode, TV out and various flash settings.
It comes with a case, manual, USB cable, video cable to connect to TV, and batteries.
The one I bought also came with a mini tripod, JASC photo software and free digital printing, but I think those offers were specific to the online shop I bought it from.
In conclusion, this is a very good little camera for the money.
It is an ideal first digital camera, as it introduces you to the benefits of the digital world, without having to spend large amounts of money.
For webwork it is all you really need, and the quality of the images obtained is better than many more expensive cameras.
There is no viewing screen on the back, but this isn't really a problem, and it does mean that the batteries last for ages. I've had mine for several months, using it frequently, and am still on the original set of batteries.
Advantages: Small, compact and easy to use Disadvantages: Sometimes reluctant to upload pictures to pc
This is a nifty little digital camera, it's easy to use, small and compact, I would even say it would be an ideal gift for an older child. The price is good value for money and it's size means it's small enough to just slip into your pocket for everyday use.
I love my little camera and with a lively 4 year old around, it's something I use all the time without having to worry about paying for getting films developed if I used a 35mm ordinary camera.
