Western Digital are a well trusted company, especially for computer equipment. 250GB is a massive storage device, you could store ALOT and with low power consumption makes it even better. Looking at the prices too this is a real bargin! I really recommend this hard-drive, the real-time data protection will help if your computer ever shuts off. It is also a 2.5-inch hard-drive which usually associates with laptops, however there are some desktop computers which could use this. If you did want to buy this for a desktop computer but your computer could only use 3.5-inch then you could buy an external hard-drive shell which could plug straight into your computer OR laptop through USB or Firewire. Overall I think this is a very nice hard-drive and a good bargin at the price it's avaliable for....

Advantages: Lots of storage space for Rock Bottom prices Disadvantages: You have to get the pins correctly inserted with the cables as you can choose the size of the hard drive with this technique
...This has got to be one of the best buys I have ever made for a harddrive. 160gb for that price is a like a bargain at a car boot sale. Not only does it have gigantic storage space, it is reliable because of the 8mb cache. Most harddrives that are cheap come with a 2mb cache whcih make them work slower. So if you buy this product, you know it will never fail on you. This makes it very reliable. Many harddrives are unreliable because of the size and it can't actually handle the data. This is easy to install, and would take a maximum of five minutes to get up and running. It has enormous storage capabilities at high speeds. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a new harddrive with enough space and at a rock bottom price....

...Seagate have always made great harddrives and this is no excepetion it reads and writes fast.
This drive is one in a new range of seagate drives that use perpendicular recording technology, meaning more space per platter.
There is only one bad point to this drive and that is the noise you can here it read this may not be a problem for some but compared to the samsung harddrive I also have in my pc, the seagate makes the most noise (you cant hear the samsung).
Good points for this drive include the price its pritty cheap for the price and amount of storage you get, being a seagate you get a nice long 5 year guarantee.
