Original Source Almond and coconut bath foam comes in a rather plain looking 500ml plastic bottle. The bath foam is a sort of beige colour and doesn’t really look that appealing to be honest! The bottle has a screw top that doubles as a measuring cup. The writing on the bottle is meant to be witty and tells you that your skin is in need of a drink but warns you not to drink the liquid yourself! The information on the bottle also tells you that Original Source bath foam can be used as a shower gel too.
On opening the lid there is no obvious scent of either almonds or coconut which was a bit disappointing. The bath foam is thick and you really only need a capful to produce lots of lovely bubbles so full marks here! I like to soak for ages in the bath usually with some candles and a glass of wine. I had thought that once the bath was run there would be some scent. However I am sorry to say this was not the case. I like a nice scented bath so this was a real letdown for me.
After my bath I my skin felt very soft and smooth so a thumbs up here! This bath foam contains Almond oil that is known to help nourish and revive the skin and coconut oil, a good moisturiser.
Original Source bath foam is available from many supermarkets and usually costs around £1.99 for a 500 ml bottle. Overall I would recommend this bath foam although I would have preferred it if the scent of coconut and almond that been more obvious.
Advantages: Very pleasent, bubbles well, smells lovely. Disadvantages: Drys out skin.
One day I will be rich and use Lush bath bars for all my baths. Until then, I will continue on a quest to find a semi decent, semi affordable alternative. The latest trial is 'OriginalSource - Rose and Aloe - Deep Soak bathfoam'
I like the originalsource shower gels (except the mint one, which hurts), therefore when I saw the buy one get one free offer on the originalsourcebathfoams, I thought I'd give them a whirl. They come in a variety of flavours, Almond and Coconut, Tea Tree and Lavender, Mandarin and Sandal Wood, amongst a vast array of others. The Rose and Aloe smelt rather like Turkish delight, therefore I picked that one as well as the Almond and Coconut. They do have a Rose and Geranium flavour, but I think Geranium smells weird and it ruins that one.
The originalsource range, stands out from the crowd, due to ...
Advantages: Strong lasting scent Disadvantages: Not enough rose
to check before you use this. Also bathfoams can dry the skin but i didn't notice that it did with me.
Essential & aromatherapy oils do not suit everyone and just because they are natural they can still cause reactions so you should test on a small patch before you use all over. Also if you are pregnant you need to be careful and check before using.
