I really like the Original source shower gels so when I spotted a bottle of Original Source Almond and coconut bath foam for just £1 in my local Tesco, I decided to give it a try.
Original Source makes a range of products including shower gels, shampoos and deodorants. They only use pure and natural essential oils or natural extracts and they are a member of both the Aromatherapy council and the Vegan society. On their web site the company says they source as much as possible from the U.K. Original source have a very clever marketing strategy, advertising their products as environmentally friendly .natural products.
Original Source Almond and coconut bath foam comes in a rather plain looking 500ml plastic bottle. The bath foam is a sort of beige colour and doesn’t really look that appealing to be honest! The bottle has a screw top that doubles as a measuring cup. The writing on the bottle is meant to be witty and tells you that your skin is in need of a drink but warns you not to drink the liquid yourself! The information on the bottle also tells you that Original Source bath foam can be used as a shower gel too.
On opening the lid there is no obvious scent of either almonds or coconut which was a bit disappointing. The bath foam is thick and you really only need a capful to produce lots of lovely bubbles so full marks here! I like to soak for ages in the bath usually with some candles and a glass of wine. I had thought that once the bath was run there would be some scent. However I am sorry to say this was not the case. I like a nice scented bath so this was a real letdown for me.
After my bath I my skin felt very soft and smooth so a thumbs up here! This bath foam contains Almond oil that is known to help nourish and revive the skin and coconut oil, a good moisturiser.
Original Source bath foam is available from many supermarkets and usually costs around £1.99 for a 500 ml bottle. Overall I would recommend this bath foam although I would have preferred it if the scent of coconut and almond that been more obvious.
