I purchase this VCR/DVD com bi just under a year ago as my old VCR had, had it's day and I also wanted a DVD player!
The VCR/DVD com bi was very easy to install, took me 5 mins!! The instruction booklet that came with it was in plain English which enabled me to connect it to my television without any problems!!! the connections diagrams were very nicely laid out making it easier to connect up with your TV! Should you have any problems however there is a useful frequently asked questions page towards the back of the booklet to help you out!!! Product guarantee and warranty is supplied with it!
It's also very cheap for an all in one and saves a lot of space!
The picture quality is also excellent and has all the features that you could possibly want from a VCR and DVD player! The VCR has the usual stop, play ,pause fast forward' rewind, record etc that you would expect and the sound is in nicam stereo. The DVD comprises of similar functions to the VCR but it it's not a recordable player, you also have your chapter search, zoom which is great if you want to see a close up of the action! You can view your DVDs in letterbox format (on a conventional shape TV, black bands will appear at the top and bottom of the screen) normal format and wide screen!
The Orion DVC6001 gets my vote as one of the best combi's on the market!!!!!!!!!!! When the time comes to replace your existing equipment make this product your number one choice as I have been very happy with this product and hope that you'll be too!!!
