Introducing of Orion

I’ve had the Orion 32” LCD Television for quite some years now, and I must admit, it is some monster of a T.V. I love sitting in my comfy chair, a beer in one hand and watching Manchester United play on the big screen. In my house it feels like being in a pub, I’ve got the bar and the 32” LCD, so I can get a drink whenever I feel, and I have a free front row seat in front of the big screen. In some ways, my house is better then the local boozer, even though I love going to the pub, because you can meet up with friends, be sociable, and the atmosphere is good. There’s just sometimes, where I have decided to stay in and watch the football, I find it better to invite your mates around and sit in front of your own big 32” T.V. That way you have your own quality sound system, entertain your mates with a pint, and you won’t have to contend with any drunken loud-mouth-louts at the back. My Orion is HD ready (High Definition) I find, when watching the football the screen looks more innovative, a lot sharper, the commentary is very realistically sound, and the colour is beautiful.

On watching films

:

When I’m watching a movie, it feels like being at a cinema, the sound is so effective. I watch a film the other night on DVD, I’ve seen it about 3 times now, and it’s called Captivity starring Elisha Cuthbert and Daniel Gillies. There are a lot of dark scenes in this one; it was all to do with kidnapping and torture. The dark scenes are amazingly effective to look at, I sometimes feel like I’m actually there. The effects of the sound were really good; it felt a bit like having surrounded sound, the colour had a beautiful dark gleaming look to it. When the lights are off, you can see a beautiful tint of shine from the picture, you can feel the comfort and warmth around the room, which makes it look a lot cosier and feels a lot more like being at the pictures. I can hear that extra tint of an echo with a little more effect, which makes it even special. There was one certain film that looked absolutely amazing on this screen; Wanted (Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman) the stunts looked visually stunning; I thought the car was going to come flying through the screen. Again, Brilliant sharpness to the picture and colour, and amazing surround sound effects.

On playing console games

I love playing Xbox 360 on the big screen, especially when I’m playing Fifa 09, the sound is more life-like and the pitch looks a sharper surface. When I was playing Man UTD against Valencia at Old Trafford, the stadium looked enormous, it’s as if you could step out on to the pitch, wouldn’t that be great, standing on the field at the theatre of dreams. The player’s movements seemed faster to me, David Villa and Cristiano Ronaldo seemed a lot more aware, the crystal of the screen makes it feel stunning, it makes the graphics more physically real. One game you should play on this type of screen, Alone in the Dark for the 360, what an outstanding feel to this one. A horror game with a damn good sound effect, I love the extra tint of echo to this one. The sound and the actions of the characters felt and looked more realistically suspending, making this one more frightening to play. The game will make you more fit sated with the suspense and the action; and with the scenes where one minute it’s quiet, the next you’d be jumping a lot more after being attacked by a creature because of its quality sound effects.

On the PC Computer

My uncle always has he’s PC monitor connected to the big screen, and I must say it looks exhilarating to look at. But not as exhilarating when it comes to seeing a PC on my big Screen, you see, you have to do it the Orion way. I can’t tell you in one specific whole word how I find the graphics on this baby, maybe one… electrifying. It’s so WOW, when playing your high graphic games, seeing the realness of them is just like watching the real thing. Take gangster game ‘Mafia’ it may not have the biggest graphics, but it sure has a lot of memory, and on a screen like this it makes the characters more life-like. Take ‘the Sims’ games, when going up really close to the characters, they almost end up the same size as you. Well maybe not quite, but it’s still impressive with the sharpness of the graphics, this being more of a cartoon animated title. Need for Speed is incredibly stunning on the big screen, I haven’t got any of the Need for Speed games on PC, only Xbox 360, but I did borrow Underground from a mate, and I’ve got to tell you, the graphics are awesome, it brings out the shine on the cars beautifully.

On SKY Digital

When I’m scrolling through the sky channels, I find it rather pleasant feeling, as the listings have an outstanding blue background colour with white writing, it expands over the 32” of the screen. This is even better then the previous make of T.V I had, incredible colour, it has an amazing and louder background theme. The listings look sharper as I’m scrolling through them; the picture on every channel looks surreal. I certainly love Gillette Soccer on Saturdays, hearing Jeff Stelling’s voice beaming out from the T.V as his keeping everyone up to date with the football scores. The effect it gives out when I’m watching Australian soap Home and Away; it’s so bright and yet again colourful, this 32” screen gives out the best of this programme. When watching Hollyoaks throughout the week, it may not be held in a sunny place, but, the tinted stylish look sure brightens up Chester.

Style of the Orion

It has a nice stylish black frame around it, the word ORION at the bottom, written in silver writing. On the bottom left hand side also written in silver, HD Ready, on the other side (Bottom right) small see through glass button, the light on the T.V tells you whether it’s on of off. At the top starting from the left, these are buttons you can easily use instead of using the remote control, or if you ever lost the control this allows you to access T.V controls another way. The minus and plus buttons allows you to turn the volume up or down. The P up and P down buttons are to change the channels. The menu button quite simply allows you to enter there set-up controls. The TV/AV/PC can quite easily change over to different channel modes, TV = (Television side) AV = (DVD player, Video, Sky/cable) PC = (Channel for your computer). Lastly, the on button, I don’t have to say what this buttons for. It is a beautiful 32” LCD, easy to use; the controls are nice and easy to operate, wonderfully set out with amazing colour and outstanding effects.

About Orion

Most of the TV’s in my house are Orion make, I prefer to have Orion, because, it’s one brand I can trust. They’re quality efficient in style and in use; they’re neat and tidy looking when it comes to the layout of the item, the picture, and the sound, they’re very reliable; I’ve never had an Orion make T.V go wrong. I find the remote control it comes with very easy to use; all the buttons are in comfortable and rather handy places. It’s not like my video I’ve got in the front room, the control doesn’t have a standby button, so I’ve got to turn it off by the video, which is really stupid. The last T.V I had, the backing kept falling off the control, so I had to keep putting bits of celotape on it to keep it held on, I’m not quite sure what brand that was now, but it weren’t Orion. With the Orion make, I find they fix the control pieces in securely,

so you have no problems with loose bits and backings. The silver writing on the T.V makes it stand out more, then any other make, I don’t really know why, I just think I looks more effectively engraved.

Orion’s History

The Orion Televisions were first introduced by two people named Marrisse and Bob Whittaker, back in 2004-2005. They both had more than forty years of high level broadcasting experience with major leading TV and film companies. The Orion Company is one of the most innovative producers in the UK; they have produced over 80 programmes for international broadcasters and major UK features such as ITV, which still remains one of the top TV channels today. Orion is also starting to make an impact on online, providing some real piece of multi-media content. Orion is specialist in providing some high quality, fast up-to-date television. Orion was originally founded in the early year of 1913 in Hungry; they started out by making electrical bulbs. The Orion Company produced, maintained, designed and installed microwave telecommunication equipment, along with the electrical bulbs; this was the third major steps for the company, the first step was producing radios, and the second was producing televisions. Orion has so many wide ranges of supplies; these are including DVD players/DVD recorders with HDD, Computer monitors, Active speaker systems, home theatre systems, active speaker systems, MP3 players/MP4 players, and of course televisions (CTR and LCD). They have also made kitchen supplies such as, Dishwashers, Microwave Ovens and Washing machines. It was stated that Orion started making televisions in 1956, ever since they have become quite a reliable and famous brand.

For Safety Reasons

I advise you to not to expose your T.V to wet substances (moisture or dust). If any of these incidents occur, then your T.V can be seriously damaged. The on button is at the top of the flat screen on my one, so never try switching it on with wet or greasy hands. There was an incident once around a friend’s house, where he’d got the inside of the T.V wet and all of a sudden, there were some sparks flying out the top of it, causing it to permanently shut down. It was like something out of a T.V programme, sparks flying out everywhere, but it was still very dangerous, me or my mate could have been struck in the face by the spark, which could have blinded us. Luckily, we were so many feet away from it, that’s why you should never try turning the T.V on with wet or moist hands. Don’t put the T.V near, too hot or too cold appliances, such as gas or electric fires or near a radiator. If the temperature is too hot, then the screen will overheat causing it to freeze, and then will end up crashing. The bigger you’re T.V, the more powerful it will be, and it will then become more sensitive to these types of things. Do not put the T.V near other appliances, which will cause electromagnetic interference (HIFI speaker or another T.V). This could cause problems to the working of the unit like, erratic playback, the picture may be distorted, and the loss of sound. I always keep any other electric appliances, either quite a few feet away, or on the other side of the room…

The Purchase

Absolutely worth the purchase, brilliant style, beautiful picture, outstanding sound. I’ve had my Orion T.V for some years now, I’m really please with its precision and performance. Like I said, the remote control it comes with is very neat and tidy to look at, it’s very comfortable to use. I’ve had mine for so long now, I can’t quite remember how much I paid for mine, but it’s certainly good for value. Looks brilliant with Sky digital or cable, the whole screen is so huge. Going through your sky or cable channels with this 32” LCD feels like a dream, it’s very pleasant appearance on screen makes its really enjoyable when watching your favourite programmes. If my Orion was to ever and I mean ever go wrong, then I would certainly replace it with the same one, with exactly the same make, which of course, is ORION…
