Excellent customer service Advantages: Customer service Disadvantages: none We bought our Brabantia soft touch bin in about 2004.Although ours is the smaller thirty litre version i wanted to express that for once you do get what you pay for. Brabantia are a long established company with an excellent customer service department. My bin probably cost us at least £50.Obviously it was my wifes choice and not mine.I would have gone for a cheap one!! However it has stood the test of time and still looks as good as new. On their website the part is selling for about the same price BUT there is an option to buy under guarantee. I did this filling out a small form stating that i did not have my receipt and i could only guess at when i bought it. Candy Floss Maker Advantages: nice colours Disadvantages: expensive, doesn't work, loud ...make a tiny smidgen of candy floss. We were very disappointed as this wasn't even a mouthfull. Its very loud too. The only good point was how 'nice' the machine appeared to be, before we found that it didn't work! Great Kitchen Gadget, But Not For Use. Advantages: It's a good idea... Disadvantages: ...it's poorly made. ...Oliver Flavour Shaker The Jamie Oliver Flavour Shaker is a bizarre combination of shameless marketing rubbish, and really good idea. I would compare it to the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine, except that our little purple grill hasn't broken and been replaced three times since we bought it. I am not a fan of Mr Oliver, but I have tried not to let that cloud my judgement. What is the Flavour Shaker? Well, it's a ... ...and noticed that the one Jamie uses on there is much clearer than mine - lesson: go for the clearest plastic you can [of course you can't taste through any plastic.]) The flavour shaker's great claim to fame is that it can crush whole garlic cloves. Poptastic fun! Advantages: makes yummy popcorn in minutes...healthy snack...no oil Disadvantages: none that i can think of I got this for birthday present a few years ago.. i got the one that is shaped like a duck... How to use All you have to do is measure out a capful which is his hat Fill it up to the top with the corn and then put it in the machine...put the cap back on and swith the machine on. Place a large bowl under his beak to collect the popcorn.. Then let the popping begin..this takes around a min or so..and you bowl gets filled with lots of hot popcorn ... ...the machine. Now you can either start eating the popcorn or make some more..one batch would be enough for one person..although it does make a lot.. it does come with a recipe leaflet which has around 5 recipes on it..for melted butter popcorn..etc.. i always put salt on mine as it tates nice like that what i love about this is that you dont use any oil...this is great if your on a diet..you could eat this while watching a movie..or its just a ... Aerolatte great for guilt free comfort eating Advantages: wonderful cappuccinos, lattes and so on, reduces calories, comfort feeds Disadvantages: addictive. The name Aerolatte moo with the trademark symbol in striking black along the side of machine and case alike. Makes sense if you think about it. AERo because it aerates, latte because it aerates MILK, and Mooo because, well, milk comes from mooo cows. My Mooo came in its own very sturdy opaque white plastic case with a very securely fitted pull off top section, so if you like to put things away after use, or want to travel with it, this is ideal, ... ...aerolatte. For me, Aerolatte mooo wins hands down. As you watch the stem and coil in the glass, its like seeing double as there appears to be two stems, not a good idea if you have dizzy spells or double vision though. First off I tried it on cold creamy gold top milk, from Guernsey and Jersey cows, thick and rich and creamy, higher fat than normal whole milk.
